Wonderful dog park located at Lake Hiawatha Preserve in Clermont, Florida.
There are large shade trees across most of the park which keeps the sun off you/ your dogs during the summer months.
Fenced in areas for small and large dogs which are separate. Both areas are quite large which the dogs certainly enjoy!
Besides the fenced in area dogs can be walked around on lease though I have seen people playing walking/ playing with their dogs off leash in other areas of the park.
There is a popular Frisbee golf course right next to the dog park as well.
There are no wash stations but there is a hose available to provide water and rise dogs before leaving.
Play area can be muddy if freshly rained because main play section is mostly devoid of grass.

Read moreI absolutely love this dog park. The location is beautiful with a lake nearby and trails to walk your dog beforehand. I have been going here for about a year now and my dogs are always tired out when we get home. They have a small dog park and large dog park. They are in the same general parking lot area but completely separate so there aren't any interactions through the fences unless somebody walks straight across to either side. Not only are both parks reasonably sized but they are kept clean. There are water bowls put out, a hose, and kiddie pools for the dogs to lay in on a hot day. The people who go to the park always have good etiquette and pick up after their dogs and bring toys for everybody to play with. I highly recommend this dog park if you are looking to tire...
Read moreIt's a nice place with separate enclosures for large and small dogs. My experience is only in the large dog area. They have water for both dogs and people and some benches to sit on. The only thing I really don't like about the place is that they have built all the infrastructure adjacent to the only entrance to the dog park. This means that when dogs want a drink they end up being by the entrance and owners tend to congregate in this area too. The problem is that when you come to enter the dog park there in always a scrum right at the gate and you and your dog(s) need to push your way through the mass of dogs to get in. This just leads to unnecessary confrontations between dogs entering (especially those dogs that aren't regular visitors) and those already...
