This was a terrible experience. The trails are not maintained at all. There are several huge trees down and you need to go around them. The Bridges were dangerous, and the Winters Bayou bridge had planks missing. Still I went further. I finally turned around at this bridge which seemed impassable to me. I would have taken pictures of the planks missing in the Winter's Bayou bridge on the way back, but the mosquitoes were so bad and I didn't have mosquito repellent, I couldn't stop any longer because I was being attacked in the middle of the day. That part was my fault. You can't help nature. But the maintenance is terrible. Or I should say there's no maintenance at all.

TrailHead #15 on the LSHT. Pretty neat little hike to the big bridge and back. I caught a picture of a Juvenile Great Horned Owl. There is Parking at this site.

Great hiking path. A friend parked here and then we drove to LSHT Trailhead 14 to park the other car. We finished here. It was mushy ground by the bayou, so I would suggest waterproof hiking boots/shoes and I used my hiking poles frequently to cross water when there was not a bridge available. Will return to just do this trail out and back and enjoy the bridges. Will need mosquito repellent in late...

Great walking trail. Scenic and dog friendly! I was there about a year ago, alone with my dog and deep into it about 30 minutes what appeared to be a homeless man came out of the woods. I conceal carry and my dog alerted me first. I'll be going back,...
