Filipo Marc Winery — Attraction in Clinton Township

Although I'm not from the area, I've been a loyal customer of Filipo Marc Winery for about 7 years. What does loyal mean? I recommend them without hesitation. When I'm in the area, I'm always there making a purchase for myself or for others. I buy gifts for people who end up making a huge deal about how nice the gift was. I've been to many wine tastings, and recommended folks to Filipo Marc who ended up making their own custom bottles and labels and they themselves have become huge fans of the business. Over this past weekend, I was fortunate to be able to hold my birthday party there. It was such a joy-filled, memorable event for those most important to me, and we were all so excited at the end of the night at the prospect of someone else in our group of friends hopefully having their own event there in the future. My wife dragged me, along with two of my buddies and their wives out on a Friday night to go wine tasting. I was certainly not thrilled about the idea. However, it turned out to be a great time, in which I really enjoyed. I found Gerard to be humorous and entertaining, but very knowledgeable and passionate, as he ran us through his list of wines. Not only did he talk about the wines themselves, he shared his knowledge of its history, which I found most interesting. I learned a ton about wine in the short time I was there, and not only that, I gained a new appreciation for it. This bud Lite guy actually bought a case of wine and has been really enjoying it. Needless to say, the experience was much better than I had expected. I highly recommend this place to newbies like myself, or for anyone looking for a fun night out with their partners or friends. My family chooses this winery to host a fundraiser for our non profit organization. Each time is a unique experience. Gerard's presentation is informative, and very amusing. There's something special about being in a room full of friends and family, filled with laughter and some of the best wines I've ever tasted. I didn't enjoy every selection of course, because the experience covers the full range of taste.
