Ruckman Park — Attraction in Closter

By far the best park we have visited this summer in the entire trip state area. Clean and safe. A good spread of families attended the park that day, a lot of younger kids which is something we struggle with st other parks, big kids running around like maniacs, disregarding little children and using the playground attractions in all the wrong ways. Parents were friendly and courteous. Everyone watched their kid and made sure they were kind and respectful of others in the park. A great place to catch a local game, tale a nice walk around the path, or have a picnic.

Ruckman is the hottest it's been in the 20+ years I have lived in Closter. Beautifully maintained (let's keep it that way), newer playground for the kids, a baseball field, a walking path that encompasses the park, tennis courts, public bathroom, and my personal favorite (new pickleball courts, where the former roller hockey rink used to be).
