Clute Municipal Park — Attraction in Clute

Clute Park is the closest disc golf course to my home, so I tend to visit frequently. While it's not the best kept park, the disc golf course offers some challenging holes for beginners.

My primary issue with the park right now is the standing water on the front nine holes of the course. There are also many fallen branches from the recent storms (September), and the grass has not been cut due to the debris.

In all fairness to the park facilities, these issues only relate to the disc golf course and not the rest of the park. The playground areas and waking paths all look decent, and the pavilion area looks good as well.

If the grounds were better kept, easily 4 out of 5 stars, add better drainage to keep the grounds dry.. 5 out of 5. Until then, my rating will be 3/5.

UPDATE

The disc golf course has had concrete tee pads installed and the grass is better kept. I've been playing the course about once a week for almost a year now and I have had nothing but positive experiences there (with the exception of an aggressive stray dog on the loose one day, but that isn't the park's fault). I'm bumping the review up to 4/5. The rain collects in a few low spots on the front nine and doesn't dry up...

Park is looking fantastic. Today they hosted an Easter egg hunt. I wasn't there to participate just working near by, I can' t see how anyone could have not enjoyed it. So nice to see all the smiles, families, and of course kids, going crazy. Great job to all who helped get the area ready an work this event. That's what a park should look like. Well done. Great park to take your family,dogs, and friends. They have alot of tables available for eating and park grills for BBQ. They also have a par 3 disc golf course, which I really like. They have a basketball court, a gazebo, a walking path, playgrounds and They even got horseshoe pits the play horseshoes for the kids! It's a nice park all together!...
