Mosquitos during the summer always at lakes. But during the winter none! If your looking to go Ice Fishing and want a place to take kids this place is perfect. Bring some wax worms, and shrimp and then chop up the first perch you catch and enjoy fishing with the best bait to catch a perch....

Gorgeous little stop. I really wish people... Well mainly truckers would stop throwing garbage out of their vehicles.. I try to pick up trash where ever I go... But it's depressing when you go to such a gorgeous little rest stop and there's bottles of urine and pieces of wood pallets from truckers cleaning their trailers out.. there's trash cans everywhere people.. Scout and I thought the view was inspiring. These two photos were taken elsewhere but I stopped here w Mr Scout while driving my GMC to Kaycee,Wy. Was nice to imagine the energy needed/required for the settlers walking past this spot, climbing over the Rockies. It was windy here, so don't let valuable receipts or trash fly out your cars door when you exit the vehicle. I did allow some trash to fly out, had to hustle quick bf it got away.

This is a great little stop right off of the interstate. Parking area provides a place to get out and stretch your legs while getting to look out over the reservoir. A small foot trail takes you down and around to get a good view of the water. No picnic tables, and semi trucks parked along the entrance and exit of the pullout, make getting through a little tight if you have a bigger vehicle or are towing anything.
