Had a great time! Had prefect sunny days both times allowing miles of Visibility! We took the 2 hour tour the first day with our 4 year old granddaughter. They have a back seat with armrest but didn’t quite work for our four year old so she road in front of Grandpa best and held onto handlebars. The first 2 hour trip we did was on fresh powder snow which equated to smoother steering and ride. We enjoyed so much we came back two days later and did the 3 hour tour. With 3 days of sunshine, it caused the snow to compact and harden which was a struggle steering and getting the snow mobiles skids out of previous riders tracks but still doable! Just got a good upper body workout! Took our four year old granddaughter back with us and she did great. Had lunch (chips, sandwiches, candles and water) provided on top of mountain range around 10,000 ft elevation. They even had a porta potty set up for the ladies which helped out after 2 hours of bumpy riding! lol. Both trips had great tour guides which were very professional and personable! They provided whatever you needed as well at no extra cost on both rides. Boots, gloves, helmets, goggles, jackets, pants, bibs or full body snow suits. All adult and children sizes available. If I had one critique, it would be for guides to drive slower of your can enjoy the views more. I felt like we were always driving fast which required you to focus on the road more than the view because a lot of the trails were narrow and had ravines on one side or the other. They did allow people to just take their time though and the guide would come back to check on them to make sure they didn’t get lost which was a good thing. Like I said, if you like, driving fast, those opportunities were there, just as much as those who wanted to drive more cautiously! We saw some good wildlife as well. We saw two moose and a bald eagle. Overall had a great time I highly recommended everyone! PS, don’t forget to tip your guides!

What an amazing experience this is! We had a nice group of out-of-towners in to truly experience Utah and how we have fun in the snow, and Thousand Peaks did not disappoint! First off, it’s clear they run a clean and smooth operation. The welcome lodge is stocked with all the right outerwear and safety gear to protect you from the elements (or yourself) while out on a snowmobile tour. The unisuits are clean, boots are nice and new, and full face helmets are solid and most of all DON’T SMELL like the previous user 😷. Our guide, Sperry, was one of the best. We spent a few minutes getting acquainted with the gear and machines, and even though we were a few minutes late he helped us make up for our time by getting us out quickly. One of the guys in our group got foggy goggles, and our guide was quick to pull out a spare pair in an instant and keep us cruising. The scenery is unmatched. We were so lucky to end up in the upper bowl right after a fresh storm from a day or two earlier, and had 20+ minutes to rip around and have a blast. On that note, I will say it’s worth upgrading to the 600cc machines if you’re one that likes a more responsive feel. That being said, their entire fleet looks brand new, and both the 550cc and 600cc snowmobiles are comfortable and feel top of the line 👌🏼. Overall a fantastic experience and one I would recommend for anyone visiting Utah, in addition to locals that want to experience something new. Do yourself a favor and skip the crowded lift lines at Park City next storm and come hit these guys up. You won’t be disappointed.

First off, I am NOT a snow person. Southern California born and raised, my experience with has mostly been with the kind that comes in cones. With fruit syrup. We came to Park City for a family ski trip and I was the only one of eight that is a non-skier. The thought of going snowmobiling had been rattling around my head for quite a while and this was the perfect opportunity to finally do it. All I can say is WOW! My nephew Conner and I made reservations the day before and joined a group of six other riders, led by our guide Rob. At 65 I think I was the “senior” member of our group. The instruction by Rob before the ride was succinct and to the point. The three hour tour took us through spectacular scenery. The snow was perfect, the mountains were spectacular and the wildlife was close. Think moose. Think REAL close. Rob deftly managed to get the stubborn behemoth to abandon the trail and let us by safely after some skilled work on his snowmobile. The 3,000 foot elevation gain exposed us to all kinds of terrain from 50mph straightaways to arcing rainbow turns in pristine snow bowls. The three hours included almost equal amounts of guided trail riding and open “play” time in gorgeous terrain. Three hours was just enough and I would 100% come back in future snow seasons. ¡BRAVO!

If safety is your main concern, do not pick Park City Peaks. My glasses had frozen while on a tour and I was unable to see, I notified my instructor several times that It did not make sense for me to be last in line because i was falling behind and getting lost. I even fell sideways with the snowmobile off a super powdery hill because i could not see the terain. It was a terrifying experience. I said, hey, either put me somewhere in the middle, or go at like 25 mph which is a speed I can follow safely at. The instructors response was "I'm sorry bud, I got some really good customers up front, come here all the time, I can't let them have a bad trip." Prioritizing a good customer over someone else's safety seems to be the motto at Park City Peaks. I asked to speak to a manager because I wanted to be sure this wouldn't happen to anyone else. I was told they would call me in 30 minutes. Two days later I'm still waiting.

  • Complementing this review because the response by the owner is totally untrue: I had never ridden snowmobiles before, I was not made aware before riding that one should wear goggles and I had not seen any goggles available to us. I hope this practice has changed. I would most definetly have accepted to wear goggles, why would I refuse them as a first timer rider? I also was never offered the option of riding with the guide, I would most definetly have taken that offer, I was riding blind, my glasses were totally frozen over and I can't see without them. I furthermore had no meltdown during the ride, I was simply genuinely scared and trying to keep up. Also, the speed I was going at is definetly 25 miles per hour, you can see the speed on the vehicle and this was confirmed to me by my brother who was riding with us aswell, the guide said he was going faster because of customers who ride all the time and who like to go faster. Lastly the customers the guide was trying to please were not a family with children but instead two male experienced riders who apparently give good tips and ride often according to the guide. If the guide informed you differently than he is most definetly lying! I don't know if by now you have realized this, but that guide is a hazzard and...
