Recently moved to Liberty Lake and starting with all new. My bed is the first item needed for obvious reasons. I understand we have the pandemic going on so lots of stores were closed limiting my options. However after visiting 4 different places from Spokane, Spokane valley and CDA I was immediately the most comfortable walking into this store.
Subliminally I don’t think people understand how important layout and store feel is when purchasing a bed. This is an item for your most significant safety space in the world. Your bedroom is your safe haven, comfort zone and 1/4 of your life. National Mattress has such a calming effect it’s a breath of fresh air compared to all the other stores.
I was quickly greeted by Dan the General Manager who took the time to listen to what I was looking for. Instead of just jumping to the first item to sell me he nicely walked me through a sales process of explaining the Why.
Why the store is setup to show firm, plush, and soft options of each mattress. Why they stock the brands they do. Why it’s not this etc. even professionally explaining non stocked brands and why. Dan asked great questions to ultimately understand it had nothing to do with MY mattress, instead it’s the needs of my significant other.
With great patience he let me try different options, answered all my questions quickly and was so honest. I had budgeted about $1200 for a mattress and he could have easily pushed some of the hybrids or more expensive items. However I knew the feel of the 10” bamboo cooling gel mattress would best please my significant other. I was beyond surprised when it was priced out well below my budget.
The kicker, and what really set this apart, is my girlfriend won’t be moving to liberty lake for another 60 days. Dan was adamant that if for any reason she did not like it even 30 days after trying it to bring it back and exchange it. No questions asked so long as we don’t soil it, obviously.
I love to buy however I hate spending large amounts of money at one time. I usually have buyers remorse after and have to justify my purchase to myself for days or weeks afterwards. However even a day after purchasing from Dan I have zero buyers remorse.

Read moreI usually only give reviews if I get amazing service or if I get service so bad it needs to be shared with the community. I called up this store and spoke with Dan who was doing one at a time customers during these difficult times. He would wipe down everything, invite you in by appointment and he ended up giving me the best service possible. I never felt pressured into buying something more expensive. He let me go around the store and try out every mattress in my price range and then compare to the higher end models. He was extremely knowledgeable as to what I would need in terms of my body weight since I am a big guy at 6’3 and could tell me on each mattress how much it affected the major pressure points most people have problems with. Mine is my hips because I am a side sleeper and a big dude. He was able to fine tune the best mattress for me and then let me decide based on personal preference. As there are three major types of mattress. One being all foam, the other a hybrid of foam and coils, and the last being coil with a fabric topper like a pillow top. I found the hybrid to work best for me just like I’d rather drive a stick shift Subaru Wrx than an automatic. He wasn’t pushy and he made me feel incredibly safe as he sanitized everything from the beds to my debit card as we handled the transaction. Everything is wiped down and sprayed after each customer visit. This goes to show the lengths he is willing to go to protect his customers and the community during these very scary and difficult times. Read moreIt's been a tough time with COVID. I ordered my furniture in May with the owner Dan. I was referred by a mutual friend how great this guy is and how honest as a business man he is. I needed a whole new bedroom set with my new apartment and ordered a whole set (Including a mattress/boxspring at some point). Dan was able to price-match and work a deal with me. COVID has caused shipping to be delayed by almost 4 months. This was in NO WAY Dan's fault or his company's fault. He called and updated me almost every month with ETA's and possible delivery dates. I had a very flexible time for this furniture to show up, so it was mainly a game of patience at this point. I just received my order on 9/12. Quality was great and have seen no cosmetic errors on the set at all. Still waiting on the last piece to finish the bed set: The Rails. Dan already has given me an updated shipping/delivery date on this also :)
His knowledge on the furniture and on mattresses helped me pick the right one. I'm a firm mattress kind of gal, and he had exactly what I needed. He was able to educate me and allow me to find the right fit for me. Prices were fair and Dan was able to get me a deal I couldn't refuse. I love helping local businesses and COVID has definitely impacted his business like many others. If I can help in any way I can, this is where I'm going for my furniture and mattress needs! It's only been a few days on the new mattress. Dan informed me on the 90-day return policy. This helped me feel more confident on my purchase.
I could keep going! Definitely will recommend to my friends in CDA for a great place for mattress' and furniture needs. Well worth the 5 stars!
