Johnson Mill River Park — Attraction in Coeur d'Alene

Great family beach area. Only if you get there earlier in the day and when it's not busy. But how often does that work. If you want to relax and kayak, it's a great place to put in. Parking can be miserable if it's busy. Sometimes there can be an overload of teenagers that will meet up in the afternoon and can make it too busy for little kids. The dock can get so packed it doesn't make it relaxing. But that's the chance you take. In the summer the geese come earlier, sadly there can be lots of poop all over the grass. So be prepared for that. Maybe bring a shovel and bucket and just remove yourself. Restrooms are only Porta potties. They can get very dirty and stinky in the hot summer. It's pretty miserable for those who need to use it. When it's clean🤣 it's great. Small water fountain, and a great pavilion located on site. Walking path and beautiful neighborhood. Still worth trying out if you just take your chance not knowing how the day will be. Some days are better...
