Fantastic place to snorkel or paddleboard. Clean, cool water with easy access to drop off a kayak or paddleboard.
There are some porta potties somewhere on site.
A small beach with a decent area before it drops off for the not-so-strong swimmers.
I had thought this was a no motors allowed site - but there was some teens with a boat that was going back and forth to a site with a party vibe.
Didn't appreciate the wake for paddleboarding and made me nervous while swimming/snorkeling on surface. When husband and I came the previous year, no motorized equipment was on the pit. So not sure how often that happens.
Mostly clean on the beach, unfortunately, some cigarette butts. (I never understand - people come to nature to enjoy - but don't feel compelled to pack out their own mess.)
If you spend any decent amount of time in the water you'll def need a hot bath or shower later as it's pretty cold/cool or you'll take a long time to warm up. Not for the faint hearted that way. ;)...
