9/20/2025. I went there for the first time today with my family. At nearly 60 years old, my eyes aren’t terrible, but they’re not what they used to be either. I didn’t see a sign that said to the effect, “No outside beverages of any kind allowed on the grounds of the establishment”. It’s a very small 8.5x11 piece of paper on the wall out in the patio area. Easy for an older person with not so great eyes to miss and seeing as I didn’t go into the building when we first arrived, I never knew it was there. I don’t drink alcohol very often and didn’t plan to today. I had a recently purchased bottle of iced tea in the car and I decided to go grab it so I’d have something to sip while there. As I walked back to our table, bottle of tea in hand, a woman who I assume by the way she carried herself is an owner or a family member approached me. She very rudely told me I can’t bring the tea to my table and said it has to go back to the car. I didn’t appreciate the tone at all, but I put it back in the car and went back to my table. If it wasn’t for the fact I was with several members of my family, I would’ve left right then. I told my wife what happened and my daughter told us she watched it happen. My wife went in and bought me a $4 bottle of water & I stayed with my family for a nice gathering. We left a while later and I said “Hello” and “Goodbye Forever” to Priam Vineyards in one trip. I get it. No outside beverages. It’s their policy and I understand. I would’ve complied either way. She could’ve informed me politely but she chose rude and impolite and I’m out. My wife said the wine was drinkable but not at $25/bottle, so no real loss. Long story, I know… I...
Read moreWe arrived at Priam Vineyards on Saturday 7/15 anticipating the food truck that was supposed to be there and enjoying whatever wines they may have to offer. Unfortunately the food truck wasn’t there(purposely didn’t eat or bring any snacks) and they didn’t update their site. So we still went into the tasting room to give a go with the wines and a tasting. We were met at the counter by a young man who told us to have a seat at an open table and he would set us up. There were guests at 3 other tables so we had no trouble finding one. We waited around 10 minutes and the young man started helping some other guests who walked in. Come to find out one of the tables being occupied was actually a young lady who worked there. At this point she went up to the counter and helped a few more folks that walked in. Somehow folks at the counter were doing tastings at the counter and we were yet to see anyone. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and walked up to the counter but were not helped in any capacity. We then turned around and left which also resulted in no attention from the young man and woman behind the counter. Very disappointing because we were really looking forward to trying the wines. Thankfully there are so many wineries in the state that care for their patrons and offer some sort of structure and have a method to offering the best customer experience possible. We will not be returning and really think visiting some other vineyards to work on flow and service would be a great benefit...
Read moreWent for the first and the last time last weekend. My husband and I were going back to our house after a long weekend and I wanted to go to a winery before I arrived home. I really wish I had not chosen this place. As soon as we walked in their tasting room everybody looked at us like we were aliens. The wine servers did not even greet us, no good afternoon, no I'll be right with you...nothing. They looked at us and kept serving others. We felt so uncomfortable. It was horrible to feel that we were dismissed after just walking in. Both my husband and I felt the same. I really do not want to think that it was because I look very Puerto Rican or because I was in shorts (which I looked and there was no sign that said we couldn't be there in shorts), but that is exactly how it felt like. Never going back. My friends and I go to wineries almost every weekend, this will not be one of...
