What a great park! Something for everyone. Lots of grass, trees, trails. Have seen soccer fields, baseball area, a couple of playgrounds. Benches scattered throughout park. Public restrooms and/or ports-potties. Looks like lots of people of all ages use this park, but not crowded. Able to find a spot for yourself if you’d like. Did I mention trails? And trees? And grass that feels great under bare feet.

Went on a beautiful hike and took 22 kids. We had a tour guide and the kids were not disappointed.

Little rough transition from the road but not as bad as some are.

I run for UCCS and this is my favorite practice location. We do lots of workouts here, like repeat miles, repeat k’s, and tempos. There is about a 4 1/2 mile loop (big loop) and a 3 ish mile loop. It’s a super flat place to run and you always see a lot of runners. This is for sure the local spot to run. Lots of cross country meets are here and even RMAC conference championship for 2020 was here. Love this place and come here at least three times a week. Beware though you might have red shoes after from the...

Got there at 7:00am on a Saturdays morning. I was surprised to see other cars already park that early.... I was more surprised that there were homeless and leaving in their cars, they had covered their windows with blankets. Last time this happened to me at a trail head on Gold Camp Rd my car car got broken into ....so , not safe even in the city. Note: I still went t on my walk and my car was fine, still was...
