This was the perfect hike for our family of little people during our trip to the Springs. It is important to us that the kiddos gain an appreciation for—and hopefully a love of—the outdoors and nature. Let us know where we should explore next! 📍2120 S Cheyenne Canyon Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906 #denver #coloradosprings #denverfamilyfun #hiking #hikes #summer #1000hoursoutside #tiptok

Come with us as we visit North Cheyenne Cañon Park in Colorado Springs!
We have been here a couple times and if you live around the area and haven’t been here, you should check it out. We love this park because it is in the mountains and every time I visit, it isn’t crowded. We were racing against the light and I didn’t want to get into anything too difficult. Chance and I ended up stopping at Bruin Trail. Since I did not do my research, we didn’t go too far up. It was a bummer because Bruin trail is not even a mile. We spent most of our time exploring around the creek. Here is a clip of me slipping, and another clip of me getting close to the camera so you can read my shirt. Bruin Trail also has a beautiful picnic area right by the water with spectacular views of the mountain. I wanted to let Chance play in the water but I still feel hesitant. I am still unsure how to tell if it is safe or not. I thought it would be nice to sit on the little bridge, but Chance was freaking out a little. I think running water messes with his brain that is in that big blocky head of his. It was time for us to go, but Chance still wanted to play. Location: 2120 S Cheyenne Canyon Rd Colorado Springs, CO 80906 Hours: 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. (November 1 – April 30) 5 a.m. – 10 p.m. (May 1 – October 31)

Been coming here frequently for a few years now. Love hiking here the park is well kept and I wanted to give a shout out to the park rangers or whoever keeps this place clean! I have two dogs I bring and I always pick up after them. Which I know some people do but I wish everyone did! They do such a great job of picking up all the poop and making sure all trails are cleared when trees have fallen over as well! I appreciate yalls hard work! Here’s a few pictures throughout the years and different seasons. I would like to add a suggestion is it possible at the top to add another trash can before the main trail breaks off into the side trails? I feel this could help with the dog poop bags I see or just poo. I know my dogs are different compared to others, but they tend to let it all out before we reach all the trails.

Been here twice, once was around Christmas and again in May, both times was super beautiful and I really enjoyed it. We made it to the Shrine Road, and both times the Shrine played music around 10am, its so pretty, specially around Christmas, it plated for a long time. The bonus is being out...

Absolute hidden Gem 💎! I’m surprised no one has really reviewed this area. If you are new I would highly recommend the Lower and medium columbine trails! We took the medium columbine trail up to Tunnel 1 and it was definitely worth the hike! Lots of 🌳s and we...
