This is simply an incredible point to see some magnificent mountain views. Doesn’t really face Boulder so this particular overlook isn’t suited for that. However, you won’t be disappointed if you take the drive up the mountain to this spot for some really awesome panoramas that you would normally only see in a national park like Yosemite or the Rocky Mountains. A big plus is that it is very close to Boulder and only about a 15 minute drive up the mountain to the overlook. When you drive back down, there are some points that you can stop and get a better view of Boulder from above. Keep in mind that these overlooks on the mountain have a five dollar parking fee so be prepared to bring a little cash and pay that at the stations when you see them. A lot of visitors may not know about this, so definitely take some time to check this out. You won’t be sorry.

Wedding/Elopement Photographer here! I can't recommend Lost Gulch enough for couples looking for a palace to have their ceremony or just few photos of their day! The area provides several different offerings in terrain, from the stunning overlook, to the nearby trees that are either covered with wildflowers in the summer, or snow in the Winter months. The Overlook itself is an incredible location for both Sunrise & Sunset, but I highly recommend going for sunrise, as it will be quite chaotic just about anytime after 9:00 AM, especially in the late afternoons & evenings. *Note* If you are looking to have your wedding or elopement at this location, you will need a permit from the City of Boulder OSMP Office.

This is my family first time here and let me tell you it is a beautiful site. I thought it was a place to take pictures but the view is so amazing, everyone NEEDS to come here. You go on this thin road and it looks scary but you have to be VERY CAREFUL. You drive up to the top of the mountain and when you get there , you stay with your mouth open cause the view. We went on Christmas Day and it was snowing so that made it more beautiful and scary cause the road were slippery. You need to stop here and go all the way to the top to take pictures

Absolutely beautiful. Perfect place to see the sunset if you don’t want to drive too far. It is rocky. But it is a very short walk to be able to see the edge. Great spot to take pictures too. Was pretty busy and there is a 5 dollar fee to park. But you can go to any of the look outs with the day pass. Or you can buy an annual pass for $25. If you are wanting to be in nature and don’t like to hike, this is defy a place to visit. Also great for photographers and a perfect spot for senior pictures or anything else.

Close enough to Denver for an easy day visit. Road is paved and guard rails all the way up. Very cool rock formations to see and several pull off spots to explore if desired. Views are breathtaking at Lost Gulch. Very few people-Thursday afternoon visit. There is an app to pay to park. At Lost Gulch only very short walks to the views. No long hike necessary. We will plan more time to hike when we return to the area. Lots of trails around. Glad Google maps had a binocular icon at this location! Great find!

The view is majestic, the drive up is quite the thrill, as you look out east over your shoulder your whole perspective is put to a challenge. Using my Mavic drone I was able to capture some of God's creation, which does no justice to the actual experience. Warning for drone users you can't launch your drone on the property, not sure why if it's public but the Ranger did have me pack it up. Interesting how God created something so beautiful and free then man takes over and restrict access. Life!!
