Greenview Park — Attraction in Columbia

I will more than likely never come back here. I have loved it the last few years. Most of the staff were very friendly. The pool was a great setup! But not enough lifeguards to go around. To keep things in order. Or to open all of the attractions. The water was my biggest concern, it was not clean at all! Very cloudy. Smells strong if chemical but not clean! I was literally the first in line and in the pool. It was a very heavy film over the water of oil or body oils, hair, false eye lashes on the ground and in the pools, bandaids everywhere. The floors and walls in the bathrooms were slimy and covered in body fluids. The mirrors even looked as they were not of concern as you could not even see a reflection due to water and other splash back. Just never even simply wiped down at the end of the day. I won’t even touch bases on the people and neglect towards keeping an eye on their kids and keep them in line when it comes to taking other’s belongings. I know these people are more than likely understaffed and overworked. And improper training in my opinion. And these things are what will eventually lead to this attraction being closed down for good. And I hate that. The kids in the community definitely deserve and need this. Do...

Edit to add: This happened twice in a in a one week span. They advertised early hours for the 4th of July and because of what happened the first time I went to this poop, I reached out to make sure that what was online was accurate. I arrived for a second time and the same thing happened again. I let them know that I had been in touch and was specifically told that they had extended hours for the 4th of july. Guess who drove an hour and a half round trip again for no reason.

They advertise online that they open at 10am, however that is not the case. The pool opens at 1pm and they don't answer their phone so there is no way you can know this unless you drive there just to be turned around. We drove 45 minutes to arrive at 10am just for this exact scenario to happen to us and all they say is sorry. A real "sorry" would be fixing the problem and either a.)advertising the correct hours, b.) answering the phone when people call to confirm...

I would give this place 5 stars but there were 4 kids and 2 of us, adults. 2 of our kids didn't have swim shorts and cotton isn't allowed so we had to go to the store to buy swim shorts. Then one of ours has to wear a shirt and they gave us a hard time but thankfully we had a non cotton shirt he could wear. The kids enjoyed the slides and pool but as it got later in the day more ppl came and there were kids AND adults in the water with t-shirts and basketball shorts on. We asked the lifeguard why they were allowed but we were given a hard time. She said while it is policy that no cotton be in the pool a lot of times "people" don't do their jobs.
