I've been to my share of distillery/winery/brewhouse tours. The Stumpy's tour was a pleasure from the moment my group of eight walked in. The staff was genuine and friendly, the tasting/retail space was well organized and spotless. They have a great story to tell and they tell it enthusiastically. The young women that handled the tasting and facility tour did a truly exceptional job and were readily able to handle all off-script questions. Had a chance to meet Adam, the owner, and it's clear he cares about his business, it intimately involved and has a growth vision.

This is not Woodford or Buffalo Trace or, certainly Jack. However, it's just as well run and the family/local/independent feel is apparent. This is local and easily accessible for me. It's worth a detour out of your way if it's not for you. I haven't even gotten to the bourbon, gin and vodka - all of which were well executed...

This is a must. We went right after doing the Anheuser Busch tour, and this was just so much more memorable. The staff, especially Rachel, were super upbeat and just enjoying their jobs. All of the spirits were AMAZING. Don’t like Gin? You’ll love theirs! Same with the Whiskey and Vodka. They were all memorable and different. The prices were reasonable and we left happy to support a local business. The actual tour part for educational purposes was a little off, due to them moving things around, but was still mildly educational and just cool to see. It’s small and fairly quick, the highlight is socializing during tasting and learning about the history of Stumpy’s. One of the highlights of my trip!!! I’ll cry when I run out of the Pecan...

Our daughter chose Old Monroe as her wedding venue. I cannot say enough positive things about the space itself, and it’s amazing staff. Every need we had was tended to and beyond. The wedding coordinators truly care about making sure your day goes as planned, even when mud gets on your wedding gown 30 min prior to the ceremony 😩. The space speaks for itself, it is truly spectacular. No detail was left unnoticed. Our guests really enjoyed drinks at the bar while waiting for the ceremony. I highly recommend giving Old Monroe a your if you need an event space, and also if you are looking for a night out...

A magical Christmas morning at Old Monroe with the family… they nailed it! ✨❤️🎄 Face paint, delicious drinks, donuts, crafts, Santa letters, SANTA himself — it truly felt like a scene from a Christmas movie. ❄️ Old Monroe continues to be such a gift to our community, and Laura and Adam couldn’t be more deserving of all the love and support. (And happy birthday, Adam!) 🥳 Waterloo is special all year long, but Christmastime here? There’s nothing like it. Grateful to raise our kids in a place filled with this much heart. ❤️ From our family at the Brooke Mitchell Real Estate Team, we love celebrating the people and places that make this town feel like home. 🎄🏡✨ #oldmonroe #waterlooillinois #smalltown #homesweethome #brookemitchellrealtor

If you go to St Louis, Hatch'd is the spot to eat! The people were as amazing as the food. We explored downtown and picked up our tickets for the Arch. I built up enough courage to at least buy a ticket to go to the top. Claustrophobia and vertigo will made it quite an adventure. We crossed the river into Illinois and headed South to Old Monroe Distillery Co. (Formerly Stumpy's), and our time there was so relaxing. The cat's name is Barley Boots and we tried to bring her home. #stlouis #hatchd #breakfast #travel #dailyvlog #distillery #family #coldweather #supportsmallbusiness
