Gateway Lofts Columbus — Attraction in Columbus

The building is a "locked campus", which I thought was going to be great. Turns out, not so much. Package delivery has been a nightmare. I haven't even tried getting food or groceries delivered. If I'm having this many issues with UPS, Fedex and the USPS, I can't even imagine what that would look like. And the drivers from Amazon will leave your packages at a random door, if they can't get into the building. It's nuts. There was supposed to be a call box installed, that would connect the person straight to your phone. That would have been great during these times. It's been hanging there for months, but it doesn't work. Keeps getting delayed. During this pandemic, we have still been charged full rent, for all of the amenities we can't use. And rest assured, you'll get an email around the first of the month reminding you that you still need to pay rent. But, hey, they "have also decided to absorb the cost of all credit card transaction processing fees." for rent. Well, bless your hearts! Thank you for taking one for the team! Finally, the walls and floors must be completely made of paper. There's no other explanation. All hours of the day, I hear every footstep, conversation and this morning as I was getting into the shower, I heard my new upstairs neighbor pee and flush. Twice. What? I can't believe we pay so much for this. I wrote off the extra cost to be here because I was going to be so close to work, but now, I have been and will be working from home for the foreseeable future. What a disaster. If you have to move to the area and want an apartment in a new building, I suggest checking out the Belmont House around the corner. They at least have massages...

I’ve been living in this complex for 9 months, and after living in 6 different complexes in the Hilliard/Columbus area in the past years, this is by far the best apartment complex I’ve ever been in. The staff is full of incredibly kind and caring people who enjoy hosting events for residents. Though I don’t use it often, the clubhouse has free computers to use, free coffee, games, and a nice lounging area. The gym is great and well maintained, then pool is nice, and it has a very comfortable courtyard with grills that can be used for free during warmer months. Maintenance is very efficient and prompt, and they do routine checks of smoke detectors, water lines, etc. The complex is kept safe and clean, pest free, and monitored in case of apartment and car break ins, which I’ve only heard of happening 1 time since move in. There’s a ton nearby, including a metro park, lots of food, and the outer belt.

My only complaints: Even though they have trash pickup, they don’t offer recycling which is a bit of a sad thing for me. The smaller apartments (like what I have), don't have a balcony or deck area which does suck as I’m a plant and garden lover. The prices are a bit higher, especially if living alone, though with everything that I’ve mentioned, I believe it’s worth it if you can comfortably afford it.

All in all, I’ll most likely renew my lease here, as long as prices don’t rise. Thanks to the whole team for truly making...

Superb. Everything from the staff, move in process, communication within the complex and amenities. Donyelle and Angelis made the move in process seamless. They were quick to respond to emails, ensured that everything was in order for move in day and they're just downright friendly. I've been here for a week and already feel so welcomed by them.

It's very quiet! I'm on the third floor and have yet to hear a single footstep above me or any of my neighbors. The complex uses an app to have everyone pay rent, submit maintenance requests etc. but the thing I like the most about it is that as a resident you're able to create your own profile and post comments that other residents in the community can see and respond to. Very cool. I hated valet trash at my last apartment but I'm very appreciative of it here being on the 3rd floor. They have times in place for residents to put their trashcans by their door and to bring them in by which keeps it from stinking up the hallway. Everyone seems to be very respectful of that.

The courtyard is dreamy, there's plenty of space to hangout with friends and they have several grills. The gym is clean and has anything one could need. I especially appreciate the separate room that has mats and other equipment so you can do abs and stretch etc without taking up too much space in the gym.
