When visiting lake lure, people often ask how they can see the lake? Morse park is a small park located at the marina in Lake Lure. It is perfect for a stroll. There are wonderful views of the river, lake and marina area as you wander the finished pathways. The park is handicap friendly. A place a treasure to us. Every Sunday. Walking trails, mostly flat and very scenic. Youll see hear or smell the wonderful lake. Just dont swim in it. Lake Lure is long known as Lake SEWER by locals since most of the raw sewage from the Summer Houses goes into it since 1960s. If you have great eyesight from various places you!! see miles on the lake, the beach, and where scenes from various movies were made and and the mountains. There is a swamp, a small lake, trees etc,. Loads of weddings are done here. Sometimes 3 a day. Very elegant. #weddings You can fish in select places. Also a boat dock is near as well...

Only observed porta-pots on site instead of restrooms, which was disappointing. However no other complaints. It did have two playgrounds plus swings, a paved walkway into the garden area that loops on Lake Lure's shoreline. The playground areas appeared well used and had some wear and tear, but nothing concerning. Workers were clearing paths (blowing off leaves when we visited), so it appeared well maintained even though it is autumn. It was a great view of the lake and mountains.
