Gorgeous calm little pond, which is easy to access and walk around via a boardwalk or dirt path. The fishing is decent, however I would recommend going in the evening or early morning. Read moreI love coming to the refuge! Its so pretty here with all of the animals. The door roam around and well as the bison. You can fish in the lakes here. Only use barbless hooks and THROW BACK THE FISH. Not to keep and eat but more childhood memories made here. Its free to enter the refuge and its open from sunrise to sunset daily. Excluding holidays. They also have a visitors center that tells you about the history of the location and the clean up they did. Great photo ops...
