Tonight I witnessed an older man using a library computer to view several videos of people committing sexual acts with animals.
At first I desired to mind my own business, but I witnessed the man continue to unabashedly view the videos even when a teenage girl sat within plain view of his computer.
I cannot tolerate such perversion. One of the staff people told me this man is a regular at the Comstock Library. He was in his late 60s/early 70s, short and pudgy, with long white hair and a white beard.
I do not know this man, but I encourage the families of Comstock to be wary of such activity. I do not wish for anyone else to be made to witness what I witnessed tonight.
The 1 star rating is NOT for the library or its staff. I informed a staff person of what I had witnessed while the man was still in the library. I do not know how staff responded. Rather, the 1 star review is to bring attention to this situation.

Read moreFor a very, very small town library, I've been really impressed with this place. I actually prefer coming here instead of the larger one in downtown Kalamazoo. Their staff is very friendly and helpful, their exchange system is easy to use if you can't find what you need, there are lots of nice small touches like coffee and seasonal book recommendations.
What really shines, though, is their kids' section downstairs. It's immediately more kid friendly and accessible than most places, with beanbags and small tables and chairs all over, a kid-only computer lab, a large section of toys and games, great book collection, a little train table, and very friendly staff. Not only that, but they keep it decorated for each season with leaves or snowflakes and lots of sculptures and animals for kids to look at.
