Mann House — Attraction in Concord Township

Today I drove around until an adventure found me. It was The Mann House, and I went on a tour. My tour guides Ellie and Akaiia were amazing and so incredibly knowledgeable about the space and the objects therein. It was absolutely a gorgeous adventure.

The Mann House is a beautiful Victorian home built in 1883 by Daniel and Ellen Mann, eventually donated by Mary Ida and Jessie Ellen, David and Ellen's daughters. First they went on a lot of adventures though! They toured the American Southwest, Japan, the Philippines, and more!!! And they brought back souvenirs. It amazes me how similar the pottery was back then to now. So much of it looked like things we had found in our own adventures.

The girls also went to college and had degrees in mathematics and physical education. Their mother graduated college in a time when only 10% off Americans even graduated high school. All in all it seems the girls lived beautiful and exciting lives filled with adventure. I was happy to...

I hadn't been to this place since I was a kid. Bf and I just happened to see it was open so we popped in for a quick tour! Our guide was a young lady who seemed a little nervous but she was very knowledgeable about the history of the house, so she helped make it a pleasant experience! We learned alot about the family and their contributions made to concord. Please visit this pleace! Very neat and alot of the items are still in that house perfectly preserved!
