Trail Head Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Concord Township

Of course the locals by now know how amazing it is here. This review is for the out of towners. I was coming down from UofM [go blue] and happened to take a chance coming here on my way through instead of stopping by Starbucks and man, am I glad I did! I am so pleased with the food and the atmosphere was so welcoming. It smelled delightful outside before we even opened the door. Sometimes it can be nerve-wracking visiting a small town. You never know if the locals will like "outsiders" versus a familiar face. Throw those worries out aside! We were welcomed warmly from the moment we stepped in the door! The girl at the counter was patient when we needed a moment to look over the menu and answered all our questions promptly and with kindness. The decor is so adorable, it smells amazing, and both the coffee and the food was delicious! I got what I usually do at Starbucks and it tastes richer, stronger, and is cheaper. The Peppermint Mocha Frozen, Carmel Macchiato, and my turkey wrap was a 12+/10. I also saw someone complain that they were closed Monday. Personally, I believe the staff is so kind because they're allowed ample amount of time to rest and reset. How amazing it must be to have a boss that values you so much that they make sure to provide enough days off to be with your family. Awesome place. Never open. Does not follow posted hours. Can’t even try out the local coffee shop because they never keep consistent hours. Disappointing.

Edit to add: I was following the Facebook page prior to leaving the review. I stopped following after our THIRD attempt of trying to visit the shop during OPEN business hours. I checked multiple times to ensure I wasn’t incorrect on open business hours while standing outside the locked door with a closed sign up DURING open business hours. I rated the food and atmosphere 1 star because we can’t even experience any of it. Also, the hours have not been the same for 9 months, because you posted on your Facebook page that you were returning to these hours...

Lovely coffee shop in a nice little town. The baristas were warm and friendly, and the coffee was perfect! They happily accommodated my request for a Red Eye with a bit of steamed milk. Clean, sweet bathroom and even the other customers were friendly and pleasant. We'll definitely stop by again! 3/15/23 We have stopped in at Trailhead a number of times now. We ride Spyders and it's a wonderful place to stop for great coffee or tea, baked goods, and warm, welcoming staff. Nice touches like the daffodils on the tables. The bathroom is fresh and clean.
