Accuracy Gun Shop Inc — Attraction in Whitney

I'm a former California resident that moved to Henderson about two years ago, and we all know the Second Amendment rights might as well not be rights over there. Long story short, MY Downstair's neighbor used to work for this place, and though knowing him to be a fisherman in the outdoors type from Bakersfield, he let me know that if I were to get a firearm, there ain't no better place to go, not only for the fact that he said he worked there, but he said that, yes, the owners take their business and the community very seriously, and I'm not going to feel like I am in a corporate gun shop where I'm just another commission sale push to some of the more expensive brands, period. Why is John from Bakersfield always right??? I walked into the place, every last head that was working looked at me and they said , Hey, welcome in. John said go talk to his boy, Matt, and he had given him a call to expect my arrival sometime in the week, and the first person rolled had shaken hands with was who they call Matt or Mateo, coincidentally. Now this wasn't your usual place, like he said, John from Bakersfield, by all means, There was more unique and well, well, well placed used equipment, meaning rifles, shotguns, and firearms, than like he said, the latest 2025 new tech. I started looking along the handguns and was impressed, not only by the condition of the used, but the pricing. Now in back of my mind before going to the store, I did not want to be another nine millimeter guy, hence I turned to Mateo or Matt and said, Hey man, so what do you recommend? You know more about what is on your shelves better than I would. Matt picked up an interesting Smith and Wesson and placed it on the counter for me, Smith and Wesson MP 2.0, I picked it up and started getting the feel for it, felt like a good gun, good, looked like a good gun, and hence I said, wow, for the price, you get a 15 round capacity 9 millimeter ? He know that is a 10mm. I was set back by his statement because walking out the door did not feel like being another the run of the mill nine millimeter guy, and had wanted to learn more about 10 millimeter. And here I was, now again, not having a father or other members in the family with military or police or grew up in a hunting and fishing world, by all means. When I was asking my questions to Matt / Mateo, I was not made to feel like someone who wasn't man enough to know everything about guns. Also in a way, he educated, I felt like he had close experience with this same make model one caliper, hence my final question was, hey, Mateo, why do you know so much about this gun, the brand caliper and everything else? Matt / Mateo grinned, looked down at his holster and placed his hand and tapped, well, it's what I wear every day to work, end of story, SOLD!!!!, best gun shop ever, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy camper, and thank you Mateo and all the boys, and thank you John from Bakersfield. I don't want to say one of the best shopping experiences, the time these boys took and the staff took and the tail, I think it was one of the best, if not the best shopping...

I would like to share my experience with this particular special kind of store/shop/ items😉.. I'm a very petite person, looking for protection not only for myself but my family. I thought this special kind of merchandise was needed, especially with the major uptick of crime.. I don't know everything about weapons/ defense/g*ns & obviously going into the purchasing I was a little bit intimidated/ nervous. With all that being said, by the second minute I was in the shop, the owner had all my fears / worries put aside. Explained everything through and through for me to me. He was very patient and understanding to all my questions/ thoughts. Walked me through on how to properly handle, properly use ( he showed me as much as possible for the moment 🤗). He gave me confidence where I had doubts. He helped me with assistance of classes I could take to understand and know what I'm doing. I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND anyone that needs/ wants such merchandise, to go to accuracy gun shop. It will not be a regret on any account. I 1000% & grateful for the help and understanding I received from the owner. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ☝️👍😁🤗... Thank You Mitch, I truly appreciate your help...

I attempted to by an AR-15 and received a background check. I got a delay on my background and had to wait 3 days for a response. After 3 days the results came back unresponsive, which is not a no and not a yes. They told me the choice was basically theirs at this point if they wanted to release the gun. They told me they do not release guns with unresponsive results and that’s fine it’s their choice. However, they told me there was another form I could fill out to find out why my results is unresponsive but I puke have to let them keep my money for the gun and continue the process. After filling out the form I should receive a letter in the mail within 5 days stating the reason why my results are what they are. I did and there was no letter in the mail. I then returned after waiting this 2 weeks and asked for a refund. They proceeded to refund my money but told me I would be charge a restocking fee of 10% of the purchase. It came out to $59.99 plus there is no refund for the $25 background check. So they made $85 off me and I received nothing but the run around for 2 weeks. This is unacceptable. Will never go...
