UPDATED 10/8/24
MY FIRST 4 DAYS STAYING HERE WERE COMPLETELY AWFUL AND NO PROBLEMS WERE RESOLVED- HOWEVER AFTER STAYING HERE A FEW TIMES MORE SINCE THEN ITS BEEN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE!! FRIENDLY STAFF, SMILING FACES AND NOW I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING. ONLY NEGATIVES I STILL HAVE ARE HIGH COST OF ROOMS WITH VERY LITTLE IN RETURN SUCH AS NO MICROWAVE IN ANY OF THE ROOMS AND MINI FRIDGES THAT ARE JUST AS MUCH OF A GAMBLE AS THE SLOT MACHINES- IVE HAD MINI FRIDGES THAT EITHER DIDNT WORK AT ALL OR COMPLETELY FROZE ALL YOUR DRINKS. HOUSEKEEPING HAS IMPROVED AS WELL- BE SURE TO USE ALL AMENITIES HERE AND DEFINITELY CHECK OUT THE POOL AND HOT TUB ON THE 5th FLOOR OF THE NORTH TOWER AND FLOOR LEVEL OF THE SOUTH TOWER AS WELL AS THE LUXURY SPA AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FULL GYM THEY OFFER IN THE SOUTH TOWER AS WELL
Wouldn’t recommend staying here. I got free rooms and even that was too much to pay. What I mean is that there were so many problems with everything from front desk, to comps, to bonus play. Customer “service” is extremely lacking and most employees are extremely rude. Staying at the hotel? Bring your own coffee because regardless of number of guests in a room they will only bring you TWO coffee pods per room. I’ve stayed twice so far and even at checkout they mess with you. Checkout time is 11am. I called at 10am to ask for luggage carts in advance (only employees are allowed to handle them- so you have to request them) and also called front desk to ask for a late checkout of 11:30 just to make absolutely sure I was out on time. After 11:30 the hotel charges a $75 late checkout fee. Each week I called at 10 am for a cart and NEITHER time did a card make it to my room before 11:30. I feel like this is a scam to take additional money from their “guests” last minute. In addition, when I would call to ask how much longer it would be I was treated very rudely and was even hung up on in one occasion after they said- I’m doing my best- you’ll get one when you get one. Extremely unprofessional. I don’t want this review to look like an essay so I’ll stop at this point but I want everyone reading this to know I experienced just as many concerns with every aspect of my stay from food to gambling and everything in between.
Also- during my first two days there two women passed out from heat exhaustion. The casino is extremely hot (especially in certain areas) and they RARELY come by to offer anything to drink- ironic since the water bottles actually say on them
DONT PLAY THIRSTY
So yeah this hotel/casino/resort doesn’t seem to care about its guests in the slightest. I emailed them over two weeks ago regarding my concerns and they still haven’t responded proving to me that they really aren’t concerned about you in the slightest. Just swing by, drop off your cash and leave is what they’re hoping for
Don’t stay here- and if you do don’t gamble here either. If you do you’ll understand in just an hour or two why I said not to. And if you do decide to gamble make sure you bring your own drinks because you not only won’t get a drink but you’ll be hunting down waitresses because they don’t come by and are very hard to find
I hope someone at Cache Creek is reading this because BOTH of my stays this month were horrible and I don’t plan on returning once I’ve redeemed my free rooms. Only redeeming because I earned them with the amount of money I’ve gambled there over time and I deserve SOMETHING in return for it rather than...
Read moreWe stayed at Cache Creek on my birthday weekend. I had 2 free nights and my husband had 1 night so when I made reservations I asked to link together Sat, Sun & Mon nights. When we checked in we were told that they had upgraded my 2 nights to a suite- The Ambassador in the North Tower. BUT they had not assigned a room to my husbands free night. We asked about his free night and was told our options are to stay 2 nights in the suite and then Monday check out of the suite and they would hold our bags until check in at 4pm and we can get a standard room for that night or we can downgrade to a standard room and get the 3 night assigned so we don't have to check out on Monday. We have never got any free rooms on a weekend night yet alone ever got a suite, so we kept the suite. The Ambassador suite is wonderful. It is big and has a half bathroom when you walk on by door. There is a kitchen area, dining table, a coffee maker and an espresso machine. The living room area has a nice sofa, chairs coffee table plus a desk office area. Behind the double doors is the bedroom with a king size comfy bed, dresser & night stands. There is a lounge chair inside by the patio double doors. There is his & hers closets. A safe and robes. The bathroom is fabulous! His sink on one side of room & her sink & counters on the other. There is a tv in bathroom. The bathtub is huge is is a jacuzzi tub with jets. The walk in shower is huge with a his and hers separate showers. The toilet has a separate area with door.
I was so impressed and surprised when I went to the patio. There is double doors going to patio from bedroom and from livingroom.. The patio has a table and chairs plus a couple of lounge chairs and a big private jacuzzi with a fireplace and waterfall. There is high walls so it is totally private The jacuzzi has stairs because it is really deep.. The water was warm not hot. Absolutely outstanding suite. On Sunday night I went to double check on our 3rd night situation & checking out. It was around 2 am and the rep at check in counter told me he would cancel my husbands reservation and extend the suite another night in my name so we got another night, that's 3 free nights in the Ambassador suite Free. Gambling was hot and cold. I won some and lost some.. Sat night I did win a jackpot that was hand paid for about $1,500 Then the morning we were leaving I won a unbelievable jackpot of over $5k. We had an incredible time.
I have gone there other times now. The slots did not pay out much the last couple times. I was comped a nice suite in the south tower one time and a regular room a couple of times. The last visit we were comped all of our food that we had charged to the room like with room service. We enjoyed our visits but after loosing the last couple times I will probably wait to go back...
Read moreSEPT 15 - Nothing has changed. Slots still tight. $200 in no bonus. No free games. New machine $100 in no free games, no bonuses. New machine $200 in no free games no bonuses. 20 mins in lost $800. You don the math. Very stark difference between length of play at Thunder Valley versus Cache Creek. Cache Creek will wipe you out in minutes. I’m talking five 600 $700 in minutes worth of thunder Valley will give you at least five hours of playtime but that’s same amount. Do with this information what you will.
SEPT 7 2025 crazy how. $200 in a machine betting $2 yields 2 - 8 game bonuses each paying $3.30 and $12.56 and then nothing. Nada. $700 + $200 bonus play. Gone in 25 mins. Again- NOT WORTH THE DRIVE.
SEPT 2 2025 $800 cash/ $200 bonus play. 1 terrible hold and spin. Multiple machines. All denominations. Absolutely in sane. Money gone in 45 minute. Nada nothing. Labor Day holiday and the house is wound so freakin tight. Might as well take a match to money. What a WASTE. All you see are sad faces, frozen from bewilderment - from getting such little return after driving 1-2 hours. I consistently get whipped out in under an hour. I see the majority of people that are playing are having the same experience. And then when you get in your car, You can see the lines of vehicles waiting to get gas at the gas station, Praying that whatever little points they acquired will at least let them get 1 to 2 gallons of gas to get home. which makes me feel like Cache Creek is more of a scam than even the simplest mind can wrap them head around'. Cache Creek is not the vibe. STAY AWAY.
MAR 2025 CACHE CREEK WHY ARE YOU SO GREEDY?? Nobody can convince me that management, or whoever, hasn’t tampered with their machines BECAUSE THE PAYOUTS SINCE LAST MAY HAVE BEEN DISMAL. A location so far with so little reward is big screw you to your loyal customers. Im no novice when it comes to playing - I can tell when not one, not 5, like almost every machine just takes and doesn’t give back. Multiple times on bets that garnered a bonus round, mind you these are bets that have paid decently in the past, the bonus spin will fizzle and the win will be in the single or low double digit range. Their parking lot is empty. People are catching on how fraudulent their payback % is. Take tonight, empty lot on a Saturday night? Something better change or the place will dry up. People just losing left and right nobody’s happy people look bored. They look frustrated this place is a shadow of its form self. Machines used to pay out but they haven’t paid out consistently now for 10 months. The economies is about to take folks steer clear of the casinos because they are not a place to win money anymore. It is modern day theft...
