The racing was good yesterday. the track is an old track the bleachers are small and shaky aluminum structures. The officiating at the race totally sucked. There was many extraordinary really long yellow cautions dragging the day out well past an hour more than it should have been. watching young kids and four-wheelers pulling Donuts in the track well the race is under caution and drags on for 20 more minutes is not fun to watch. This is old school management system of Southern dirt tracks needs to change. It seems more that they want to keep people hanging around collecting an hourly salary is more important to them than putting on a good race with good officiating at the Blackman Tower. The flag man needs to be replaced. He just drags everything out with log unneeded cautions. I question whether I will return to this track with what I seen on Sunday. The cars are good the racing was good track management is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been to many tracks throughout Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Though there is a nice family atmosphere, a couple of things stood out. The womenās bathroom had a couple of stalls that need a little work. One had a broken toilet seat with half of it missing, another leaked which led to a long line to actually get to used the bathroom because everyone refused to use those stalls. They have nice concrete bleachers but the amount of trash flooding the bleachers was something I had never witnessed before. The few trash cans that were set up were overflowing and it seemed the spectators just threw whatever trash they had straight on the flor and breaches. For this reason, I got to say it is a nice track with nice atmosphere but be ready to sit in a pile of trash. Dirtiest track we have...

We always have fun every time we go out to Cherokee Speedway. Saturday races (usually bigger events) are always packed out crowds. And tickets are usually $25 a person. A little steep in my opinion, but the food is actually not unreasonably priced. There are usually alot of different vendors selling (affordable) any and everything from funnel cakes to fried oreos to hamburgers. Even sell alcohol now. And I will say this! All the times I've been, I've never seen a single fight..no rowdy crowds, nothing. If you're looking for family...
