Costco really needs a customer service email address, although by forcing you to Chat or talk to someone they know people are less likely to contact them due to the time involved.
My feedback is they really need to improve the checkout system, so you can scan as you go similar to Sam's Club. The demanding to see your membership at self checkout is getting annoying. Recently as I was checking out an employee demanded to see my membership, then scanned my paper towels for me, but left the rest for me to scan. Because of this, I missed an item that was scrunched up behind the paper towels in the cart. Of course they noticed at the door, and I asked which item so I could go back and pay since I still didn't see the item behind the paper towels. They made me pay at customer service and apparently it was such a huge deal that they had to make a copy of my receipt presumably to put me on the naughty list. At this moment I almost canceled my long time membership right there. Either scan everything in my cart or leave me alone, and don't bother me demanding my membership distracting me while I'm trying to checkout. Edited to add that scanning you card as you enter is a slightly better solution than how they previously operated since at least Iâm not interrupted while checking out to see my membership card now. They need more aisle room between the self checkout registers though. I donât enjoy my achilles being hit with otherâs carts, and Iâm as close to the register as I can get trying to not get hit.
One thing I will tell folks is DON"T buy tires at Costco. They caused over a thousand dollars in damage to my car (at another Costco) after this Costco mounted a tire backwards on the rim (there is a side that says outside), and didn't balance the tires correctly. I thought another location might do better. I paid a mechanic to fix the damage and I didn't ask for reimbursement, although I made management aware they damaged my car. Later on I had a nail in a tire and stupidly thought I would just bring only the tire in to this Costco to have the nail hole patched. When the tire was ready the metal inside side of the rim was severely gouged in several places. Not scratched, but gouged to where I had to grind it down so no-one would cut their finger on the raised metal. And of course the wheel that was repaired is not balanced correctly..... They need a road force balancer or train the employees better.
Most Positive part of this location: The normal door greeter (Jerry) is their friendliest employee...
Another negative interaction was when I was buying an expensive laptop. I found a pad on the counter to fill out the item number of the laptop, but there was no pen to be found on any counter. There were two employees having a conversation at another counter where the laptops were located and I finally asked them if there was a pen available. They gave me an annoyed look and completely ignored me. I ended up buying the laptop another day since I didn't want to deal with finding a pen in another part of the store or going to my vehicle to get my own.
So between causing damage to my car and then treating me like a criminal for a simple mistake due to their employee distracting me while I was checking out I'm wondering why I'm maintaining my membership.
Edited to add another item. If you need syringes donât bother asking to purchase them if you donât have a prescription filled at the Costco for medicine that needs syringes. I needed syringes and they almost treat you like a druggie, even when I showed a picture of the medicine with pharmacy label that I needed syringes for. CVS would sell them to me with no issue, but unfortunately didnât have the size I prefer. I didnât feel like driving all the way to Samâs club who would sell them with no issue, so I just ordered them online. Iâm beginning to think they want...
Read moreOh my gosh, how wonderful it is always to go to the Costco in Cumming First off, Jerry is oh so wonderful as a front greeter. He is always forever there with a smile and cracks oh so many jokes with me and my wife. He makes it so fun each and every time to start my experience at Costco. The other front staff are all so very amicable and very wonderful, each and every one of them. Steve Cobleigh has been extremely helpful quite recently about helping me to pick the perfect TV or any AV equipment I need in my house. He is an absolute joy to deal with!!! I believe he is from Boston, and reminds me of Mark Wahlberg (from Tunnel to Towers, acting etc) because he always seems so giving and eager to help each and every person that he encounters from my observations. Conner is oh so very so helpful in guiding me in my deli selections. He is so nice. Katie recently guided me to an item that had nothing to do with her department. How kind! Oh so wonderful! Beatrice is so affable in clothing as well. Larry Gaetano is wonderful when I leave the store, and is so good always. The end staff are all so very nice. Julie is also so great in the returns, and each and every person I've encountered there have been so efficient and so great. The returns department/membership etc is such a breath of fresh air to deal with, always! What an absolute an utter delight it is to experience each and every of these oh so benevolent people at Costco . Hope I'm not confusing anyone with their respective position. I'm totally running out of synonyms! Thank you so much! I will continue to come back to this Costco for these reasons, and also of the many wonderful product offerings that they offer to consumers. What great total quality management-going the extra mile for your customers through...
Read moreNot the best of the Costco locations I have been to in and around the metro Atlanta area and this one in the Forsyth county has everything in abundance. The traffic, the people, the lines, the demand for parking, lines for the gas station, entrance and exit, almost everything that would make the shopping experience a little difficult and frustrating at times. The people or the crowd here is just awful and donât have any basic sense of understanding by blocking yours and everyoneâs way even if you want to go into aisles and wonât move away despite saying âExcuse meâ repeatedly. Staffs turn a blind eye to these incidents.
Weekends would be pathetic with so much crowd and lines extending till the end of the store (Meat section) and very busy in the evenings on a normal day. Also the Gas prices are up by at least 10cents compared to Alpharetta or Dunwoody Costco. The gas station has long lines and there is no way to get past the people waiting for Gas because this oneâs usually a single lane.
The staffs barely have any sense or knowledge on how to control the long lines. At least on a busy weekend evening one would have to open up more lines and not shut them down in the middle.
The tire center is another gone case. Have been to Dunwoody and Alpharetta tire centers and their services are far better and on time in most scenarios. Had to wait for 2 hours straight despite having an appointment. Then why to have appointments if people are entertaining walk inâs at the last moment and giving that as excuse.
I would not recommend this Costco at all unless you donât have anything near...
