I took lessons here for a few weeks in 2021before I got the sense that the girls who work there donāt really get along. The instructor, Shannon, also doesnāt really pay attention that well to all the riders they do group lessons and she would make disparaging comments about the horses and also she seemed really talkative - about herself-but again not really a good place to get a foundation for riding when thereās that many people in a group you donāt get one on one assistance. Some of the horses seemed like too much for the instructor and she has an old school approach to riding I didnāt care for. She spent more time yelling at the other trail guides and I could hear them gossiping with each other often. When a rider can sense drama from staff during a just one hour lesson itās not good.I saw a student get yelled at by Amanda for no real reason. itās supposed to be an enjoyable experience but thereās too much tension between Emily Amanda and the instructors. Iām not one for using anger to motivate horses but the instructor seemed to love yelling at the horses and make disparaging comments about them ,I couldnāt do it. it seemed to me those girls are cliquey and unfriendly to the riders who donāt have their own horse boarded there. Also seemed too competitive. I heard Shannon say thereās no such thing as a natural good rider when another rider got a compliment on her riding skills. Ego trip Another time an instructor raised her voice to an adult rider and it made me uncomfortable. also would overheat the staffgossip about the students she didnt like to other riders during lessons even when people could hear her. doesnāt motivate people esp for how much lessons cost. Horses can pick up on negative energy as well. Iām taking private...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here for a trail ride for my sixteenth birthday and I had my first ever lone horseback experience here. Until coming here Iād never been on a horse without someone sitting with or leading the horse I was on, and Iām so glad the place I had my first lone ride was at a place that had excellent riding trails, guides, and horses! I felt at ease and safe throughout the whole ride, the only time I felt nervous was during the first minute or so after getting on my trail horse, but thanks to Thistles (the horse I rode) smooth movements and easy steps I was able to get completely relaxed within the first couple of feet of the ride! I highly recommend coming here for first time horse trail rides, trust me, you wonāt be...

And if walking around on the horses isn't enough they offer lessons with fantastic, patient, and very intelligent trainers who will work with you on your comfortability, pace and skill level.
