Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center — Hotel in Villa Park

This place is a TERRIBLE summer camp. I dropped off my 6 year-old daughter and her friend this morning and was NOT allowed to see the facility and told that because it is private I could NOT see where my daughter would spend her day in 100+ degree heat. I requested the daily agenda as promised both at drop off and pick up & they could NOT provide it. Both drop off & pick up were VERY disorganized. My daughter was very hot and suffering from dehydration after NOT being given much time in the shade in 100+ degree heat as there is very little natural shade. NEVER taking her there again. Only took her 1 of the 5 days paid for in advance. She and her friend do NOT want to go back. At 9am there was NO water to fill water bottles and the temperature was already 90 degrees. Lines were in alpha by 1st name. Who does that? As a result, lots of confusion...

My son and niece just went here for their school’s camping trip, they loved the hiking, the food, ALMOST all the events. The only thing I would change are SOME of the staff and some chaperones. Lanie, Andrew, Matthew, griffin, no complaints, my son and niece loved them, they were friendly, nice, very helpful and funny. On the other hand the other staff and chaperones seemed like they were racist to one particular school because they were Mexican. They felt discriminated, they felt they were treated unfairly. Hopefully the company can fix this problem soon so no more children can...

Negatives They did not administer prescribed medication to the children on a timely manner. They are under staffed and made us wait in the parking lot for one hour. Andrew, who is one of the directors, didn't even offer to take us onto their massive campground for the children to have access to bathroom facilities. The children from our school had to eat last during each one of the 6 meals they provided.
