Devil’s Slide is a section of road that was closed when a bypass tunnel was built. It is now a trail for pedestrians and cyclists.

The paved trail (former road) is a moderate walk with some elevation changes. There are three spots along the trail with multiple benches to rest or take in the views of the coast.

This location has two small lots with 25 spaces total, including one handicap space each. There are restrooms here and at the North lot.

There is a traffic light here so you can safely exit either direction...

Good parking. Initial part of the trail’s concrete with walk way that you share with bikes. Didn’t see any bikes though. Great views of the ocean and I’m always amazed whenever I see hills made of sedimentary rocks. After that you’ll get into the Pedro Point Headlands where the view gets even better. Coastal trees, coastal breeze, wild rabbits, wild flowers and more amazing views of the ocean. We didn’t hit the Arroyo trail loop as there seems to be a lot of overgrowth.
