OTR Truck Driver here. I been here twice to shop only and I leave after. I always ask permission at such places. The manager said I could park to shop, he said their biggest problem is when the truck stop Pilot just down the road fills up, trucks come here and stay lengthy times and park over night. I want to say thanks for allowing me to park my truck and restock it with food for the road, it's always appreciated at least by me and some of the other drivers. This store doesn't own the property he told me. That being said, I would like to say to the Owner, if you want to make money and help the drivers looking for parking especially at night, charge a parking fee for it at night, and allow only trucks with no trailer to park and shop for 2 hrs max during day. Our company has a terminal about a mile from this store, and I'm just appreciative to grocery shop and leave after. Again thank you. I like this store, as the employees, manager very friendly. They had 99% of everything I needed, and prices a little higher on some items, BUT the other items I bought had very fair prices and it balanced out the higher prices, I'm a happy camper and hope I can keep coming here with my semi truck/no trailer. I'd like the Owner of the property to know their tenant here are very nice people and hope to continue doing business with...
Read moreNot what it was and not that when it was Wayfield it was much better. They feed black people the worst of meat selections and sometimes you can see the injections to preserve longer on the shelf. I had to sort through chicken because there were holes in the pack and instead of them rewrapping they put back. Then my last visit I had to take a bag of potatoes back that were outdated because growth had developed on them. They don't care. ONLY because I did not feel like going up an exit I just grabbed a few things. And the store no longer has fresh seafood and the shelves are bare on some aisles. It's just an hood store. Only a quick stop shop place for nonperishable items and even then you better check all dates. And the parking lot is mostly empty now since they became Food Town, so I personally question the freshness and their quality based on visual observations. Do better for the community Food Town we don't want scraps whether we pay in cash or ebt. Js, you guys can't be passing quality standards. But to each their own if they choose to shop there. I have and trust far and between. I should have taken pics but go see for yourself how they sale products to a predominantly black community it's awful and they should be ashamed. The only plus about the store for myself is they hire young...
Read moreThe one-star speaks for itself! Never again! Everything from false advertising to terrible customer service! The store stinks like rotten meat! Went there solely to purchase Country cured ham hocks that were supposed to be on sale! All the meat in that section was spoiled and the manager made smart remarks when I questioned him. He actually told me I can go somewhere else. At the time I was in line to purchase some non- perishable overpriced items...only about $10. After hearing all the comments the manager was saying, I politely told the cashier I did not want it l. I'm not spending One Dime at a store that tells me I can go somewhere else! Very unprofessional and rude!!! They can't go in any other neighborhood and treat customers like this and with the sub-standard products. If they keep it up, they'll be run out if Dodge! My People, don't allow them...
