I was very disappointed this year. It was my first time coming and my boyfriend had been telling me for WEEKS how excited he was to take me. The food was great; happy with all the options. As well as seeing all the animals. BUT when we went to see the 4-H projects we were rudely told we had to leave, by multiple staff. We were given no reason, BUT they didn’t tell anyone else around us to leave. All we wanted to do was see how truly amazing and talented the children were by seeing their talents and artwork. It was very discouraging and disappointing, because I thought that was really a big part of the Hendricks county 4-H fair. It’s literally in the name, but what do I know? Read moreCalling this a "Fairground" is quite the understatement, as there is much more here than an open field! Handsome brick buildings and weatherworn wooden barns dot the landscape. Plenty of parking means almost no walk to the entertainment and numerous entrances and exits make this a very accessible place by car.
