I have been on people ferrys plenty of times but never an auto carrying ferry. I was visiting the area from Colorado and saw the signs. I expected it to cost money. Read moreI have ridden the Pocahontas, the Williamsburg, and the Jamestown ferry boats. They're all basically the same except the Powhatan and Pocahontas which have an upper viewing deck. You won't want to sit in the bathrooms but otherwise these boats are pretty efficient for crossing the river and the family appreciates the break on our long trips.
