3 stars due to incompetency with staff comprehension of the difference between their location and the entire recreation park, and education on what the park offers.
It's currently a beautiful current set up, but it's extremely hard to get information in person or over the phone PLUS the website is not user friendly.
I called and asked about the classes and activities and the guy over the phone acted clueless about tennis and other activities because it wasn't at the Lake Spivey location.
I had already spoke to someone about 6 months prior so I knew it was at the recreation center but couldn't find it online so I called and got the runaround until I eventually told the guy that it was at the park, even if it's at a different location in the park, then the "clue" finally slightly hit him and he wasn't as clueless. Then he said it wasn't in the park (wrong), it was across the street (double wrong). I went in and spoke to a young girl and she literally was a clone and kept talking about "across the street", when it's actually connected in the park and nowhere near an "across the street" view.
The weirdest thing is, is if you talk to somebody there in person at the Lake Spivey section and ask about the parks offerings, they only mention the water park. It was like pulling teeth to find out that there was other areas in the park. The incompetency is baffling. I think it stems moreso from the understandings of what is being asked.
I don't think the staff members have ever been to or worked at a widespread park so they would not allow their minds to understand the concept that it's the same park but just sectioned off in different areas. The girl was young the guy sounded in his 30s.
I hope this ignorance only was a double coincidence and that any forms of payment, membership, etc. would not endure the same type of confusion and runaround if ever a...

When I signed up I wasn’t sure what to expect. I found a great gem in ClayCo and the price was worth it.
The class itself was a good fit for me as I’m 8months pregnant and needed to find a safe and effective cardio class. Pool fitness fit the bill. The class is a good pace, not too fast or hard and the water isn’t too cold so I don’t freeze when I get in. My class (M/W 6-7pm) is all women so it made me even more comfortable. There are plenty of seniors in the class too so I never felt intimidated as I would in a conventional gym class full of body builders and gym rats. We’re all here for a good workout and the motivation I receive from these ladies is priceless. Good for those with knee problems or weight issues as well because the water helps the workout be less straining on the body.
I would suggest you invest in water shoes and a swim cap even if you’re a natural girlie like me. That chlorine is NOT healthy for your hair and protecting it is important. Also I bought goggles but never actually used them as the pool isn’t deeper than about 4ft 6in. There are showers available to you inside the pool area itself and also in the locker room. There are lockers in the locker room and the showers have hot water so you can get a thorough shower in after class if that’s your thing. All the amenities in the locker room were available with the purchase of the class so I didn’t need to pay for anything extra. You can buy locks for the lockers at the front desk but I just bring my bag into the pool area with me where there are hooks conveniently located on the walls. I also bring my own bottled water and towel.
Everyone is very friendly and Coach Reggie has a perfect playlist with jammin oldies to keep you going! I never feel uncomfortable or unwelcome and would recommend this class to anyone who may...
Read moreNice little work out spot with absolutely everything you need without the huge crowd. I went for the first time today (paid a day fee of 3.00) and had a great work out. The equipment is state of the art especially the cardio machines. The equipment is also clean and operational. Was impressed with some of the machines they had and even the programs they offered as well. They also let you and your family rent bikes as well to ride the trails...how awesome is that. Overall a great staple for folks in the neighboring community. The park over all is just amazing all together..you have everything you need all in one spot and for great prices. This place will definitely be my alternative to LA fitness if I truly want to focus and hone in on my...
