Loping Crow Distillery — Attraction in Albemarle

I walked into Locust ABC and the clerk suggested this local distillery bottle. He said the distillery was down the road. I bought the bottle but was curious about the distillery so I drove 10mins down the road and found it. They weren't open yet but I was parked in the lot while reading their website. An old man came to my window and asked if he could help me. I told him I had just bought a bottle of bourbon and was curious about the distillery. He said, "I'm the man that made that bottle." It was the master distiller himself. A once in a life time experience. He even open the doors, gave me a sample, and signed the bottle that I bought at the store. Him and Will were very hospitable. Have been to Loping crow three times for karaoke and this place is top notch. Their cocktails are great, I recommend the strawberry white whiskey lemonade with moonshine. They have a food truck on karaoke night which is Friday and the country farm atmosphere is awesome. Karaoke is outside so if it's hot outside then it's a tough but still fun, fall time will be perfect. Definitely will...
