If you haven’t spent much time in this part of the country you have no idea how much your missing out. So many places to explore, and camping can be as remote or State Park like as you’d like. There are plenty of great spots where you can set up right of the road and more beautiful hike-in places than you could find in a lifetime. Our favorite spot is just off of highway 61 just a little south of Devils Den, tons to explore and you’re right by the park, which offers a lot as well as access to facilities, a small store and café that’s never open.

My only complaint is, I’m always blown away by how many people are driving around off road. This is very much illegal and could result not only in unnecessary habitat destruction, but also a hefty fine. But yet, we often see dozens of vehicles driving around or car camping well off of the road. If the Forestry Department has a mind too they could probably come up with funds for some new vehicles simply by patrolling the Lee Creek area on weekends in the fall and spring.

Come spend a day or a month, but please be mindful of the the other things that live here too. I have fond memories of coming to this area as a kid and now am getting to bring my 3 back to this wild space. It would be a travesty beyond words if they are not able to bring their kids back here one day because we didn’t...

I drove past the Forest...but not to it so I never really saw it. Sadly the guessing of our electronic spying is just not that good. This happens often especially when I go to a gas station and the AI believes I went to Wal-mart.

If the US Forestery Service is paying for this-stop it! Let real visitors comment. Also the road I was on was not that good, so if that road serves the Ozark National Forest then it was and is very sad. I'd have given you a pic but I never saw the forest because I was so busy hanging onto my steering wheel for dear life.

Wait till those AI driverless cars try that road...they will drive off into a tree or into some ravine. If they sense the road as well as they sense that I went to the Park no human will even get to see the forest as they will no doubt be screaming when they realize thier car has no steering wheel and they are going to die.

Surely no one really believes these machines are alive or that they really care to keep us alive. It is an opportunity to kill us to satisy the UN agenda. They will get us with programing not an intelligent machine.

Stop tracking everone and stop pretending your machines are actually intelligent. You and the controlling government buy the cars and let them drive you around for at least 5 years...if you live through that then...

I spent 10 days camping in the Ozark National Forest. Specifically at the Barkshed Recreation Area in May 2019. It was a really nice time, that was mostly quiet. I only had the campground 100% to myself for one night, but there were about 4-5 nights with only 1-2 others campers around. The weekends were somewhat busy, but I was there during peak season. I used Barkshed as a base camp to explore the area on my dual sport motorcycle. There are plenty of beautiful sights to see within a short ride from the campground. There are also many hiking trails in the nearby area including one trail that goes right through the campground. The Buffalo River is about a 35 minute ride away, so we had a chance to spend the day canoeing. All in all it’s a nice place to get away from the city, and it does feel remote, but it’s not too far away from...
