Rosedale Golf & Country Club — Attraction in South Bradenton

Course was okay, nice condition but narrow. Front nine is littered with homes. You feel like you are playing through someones neighborhood. One star rating due to the bag staff out front. Arrived on 3/9, ten minutes before our 2:15 tee time. As we approached the bag drop the guy working out front asked our name, I told him Nelson and he said, "Finally, we've been waiting on you. " I told him we were going out at 2:15 and he said we are paired up with a single and he has been waiting and to hurry. My friend and I were almost in disbelief at this guys rude behavior. Someone who appeared to be a member told us the bagstaff/starter was in a bad mood because he didn't want to work. We checked in and came out to the cart and the guy told us to get going, they're waiting for us. I told him to chill out since it was not even time to tee off. He said, "I'm running things ten minutes early today." We told him to settle down and drove off. You only get one chance to make a first impression and you and your staff member failed...

I now have to give Rosedale GC a one star after giving it a 5 star. Our group of 20 players went there onJuly 27 had a great time and spent $1180.00 in tee times and $550.00 afterwards for lunch and drinks. I booked it again for August 10,. Today August 3, I get a call from Xavier at the pro shop saying our tee times were cancelled due a members event, I asked him if we can book the group on August 17 , and he said no because of another member outing. This was very disappointing after coordinating everything. This is not the way to treat a retired military group of golfers who have served their country respectably and should not be judged by their complexion. Similar experience to another reviewer as far as the starter is concerned. Tee time at 8:10. Pay and have cart loaded at 8:05. Starter tells us we are late because we didn't " show up 20-30 min before" and we will now be behind a group of 8 when we only have a twosome. After getting the pro shop manager involved-who clearly had the starter do this before- it was discovered that the starter sent off the large group 35 min before their scheduled tee time. Manager sent us off the back and all was well but the starter could have ruined our whole day if the manager did not get invovled because he refused to let us go...
