Sunset Lounge — Attraction in Monterey

Go NOW. Straight to the Sunset Lounge~ Wow. First, it’s an incredible location to watch the sunset while sipping on one of the many innovative cocktails they offer. The staff are all genuinely happy to be there. There’s great energy just flowing through there from valet to the bartenders to waitstaff. The management is visible and the staff really like who they work for and where they work. It was neat to see it and feel it. My friend and I went for happy hour after hiking all day at Point Lobos. It was our first time there. We had jeans and boots 🥾 on and the staff welcomed us in anyway. We had a great time. I started with the Big Sur ale 🍺 from the tap. I had the Lavender Lemon Drop and my friend had the Indigo Sunset x2. 😜 See the photos. I went back a few months later to share this wonderful place with my husband. We had cocktails at Sunset Lounge. I had the sous vide Old Fashioned. I highly recommend this drink. Actually 2 of them. My husband had the Santa Lucia Sour. Their cocktails are beautiful and delicious. We then had a delicious dinner and delectable desserts at Pacific’s Edge. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Another good time we will never forget all because of the staff. We heard brunch on the outdoor patio is a great experience. We will be back. We can’t wait. You are doing everything right here!...

This is a must-see if there is a sunset. This resort hotel was still recovering from COVID when we returned in '22. The restaurant had been very expensive and excellent pre-pandemic. Way over priced tourist trap. Got 2 salads add chicken and 2 margaritas, the bill was over $100. The salads were the tiniest things I have ever seen and were more of a decoration than an actual meal.
