First time to the Market. Not too bad for what we had to work with and the time frame.
On the website it says it opens at 8am and on google maps it says 9am for a Sunday.
We decided to go earlier since the website said 8am. I don’t think everyone is set to be at their stalls at exactly 8 or 9am since we consistently saw people driving in past 9:30am to park in and setting up.
Lucky we stayed a bit longer even though it was hot. I scored a pink Nintendo DSI Lite and Oakley Glasses for $30 bundle deal with this one vendor who had set up like a ninja when she got there and she was amazing even to talk too. Set the start off right. Then I got 2 spray deodorants for $7 from another vendor. That’s basically 2 for the price of one which was really nice. If you go far back by the gravel there are vendors too which one of them I got a vintage Stanton perfume for a buck in a cool bottle.
The weather wasn’t too great this weekend but there was a clearing for weather to shop til about maybe 3pm I would say.
We only stayed about 1.5 hrs and it was good. I would say you would need to come later in the day as well since everyone gets in a lot different times unless you wanna be that guy that asks vendors early in the morning.
Btw I’m glad people showed up even though the weathers gonna be rainy and...
Read moreThe only good things about this market are the produce vendors (lots of fresh produce!) and the taco trucks. The rest of the market is divided between covered stalls repetitively filled with "urban wear", incense, sunglasses, shoes, knock off bags, perfumes, CDs of hip hop/urban music that are obviously burned on a computer, etc, and the uncovered tables, which generally just have junk thrown all over them with no attempt to make browsing easier or the display attractive.
Despite the website stating no pornography or animal sales permitted, there is an adult store in one stall with sexually explicit items easily seen by all passersby, one table had adult magazines unwrapped and on a rack at kid level, and there was a man with live chickens in cages. They need to do a better job of keeping tabs on vendor violations. Excepting the produce stalls and taco trucks, this place was not worth the 10...
Read moreOkay vendors with an okay variety of items. One thing I despise about the place is the level of NOISE! There's always some sort of music blaring in most of the bays making the experience a tad bit unbearable. Beyond the noise, the scents from many of the vendors (oils, incense, etc.) leave me going home each time with a pounding headache. When it's extremely crowded it doesn't make for too pleasant of an experience either. If I may suggest one thing in particular to the owners, PLEASE PAVE THE PARKING LOT! I'm always apprehensive about driving any of my cars through the busted entrance and over their rock and gravel parking area. Lastly, traffic to get in and out is a nightmare, particularly out, with their literally being only one way of ingress or egress. If you're looking for relatively cheap thrills, this would be the place, but be prepared for a headache in more...
