Beautiful park. Warm Springs Creek runs through. My dad grew up in the 50s and 60s fishing in this creek. We came up for Art in the Park and had a great time shopping from Montana vendors and listening to great music. I have been to the park at other times without the festival and it is beautiful any time of the year. The town is a beautiful historic mining town with plenty of interesting old buildings and restaurants. Not a lot of tourist things to do but plenty to look at if you just drive around the town. Fairmont hot springs resort is only 10 miles away. The Vagabond is a nice little place in town if you are looking for cheaper. The Copper Bowl cafe offers food 24 hours a day (except only certain hours on Sunday) and has a full vintage bowling alley. I'd definitely recommend going and visiting this...
Read moreAmazing park, which allows camping, but with one major issue. We were there on a Thursday night and the kids in the area were amazingly obnoxious, tearing all over the gravel lot and the roads around the park in loud cars and trucks, dirt bikes, ATVs, and ORVs. This started soon after our arrival, around 8pm, and continued until just before midnight.
There were a few other people camping too, and I’m quite certain the noise was not just kids being kids, but an attempt to threaten/intimidate those staying in the park. I’m amazed the neighbors put up with it, tbh. The park should have quiet hours and the police should enforce them.
Other than that issue, the park is amazing, and we really appreciated being allowed to camp. We made sure to do some shopping in town before leaving to show our support...
Read moreOMG!! This is one of the nicest parks I've ever been to. Amazing stream runs through it. Gravel and paved foot paths. They have horseshoes, a duck pond; well two that I have found, baseball fields, a nice pool, several playgrounds, amazing campfire pits, grills, grass is green and soft - perfect for a picnic. Well maintained. They also have overnight camping for you - but it is a PARK... so no dumping stations, no showers.. no ele hookups, it's basically a place to park. But the few that were out there seemed to be enjoying the camp right by the stream. Lovely.. just lovely....
