We have been to this pumpkin patch multiple years in the past and it's usually fine, but this year we cannot recommend this place. We got there on a Wednesday morning and due to field trips parking lot was full and we were parked on the dirt road. There were cars parked on both sides of the road, which is already narrow, but that created a narrow one-way situation with competing directions of traffic and people with their families also walking on the road. The corn maze was so muddy our shoes got sucked off and the kids kept slipping and falling. We couldn't believe there was not even sawdust or hay or anything to at least address the really muddy areas at the entrance of the maze. The hay ride was broken most of our visit, when they finally did get it going only one tractor was running and the line was long and unorganized. At one point we had to wait in line along the dirt road with traffic passing, which is dangerous considering all the small children. Only goats this year, no other animals and the goats had dirty water and one pen had no shade. Completely disorganized, not maintained and not...
Read moreTried to go to the 'farm experience' on opening day. There were no signs for the activities at all. We passed the place. Came back and parked. Found an area with a tractor loading some people in a wagon. Could see 3 booths set up. One for windows, one with a sign for brownies. And one with jars of something. 2-3 men/teenagers were trying to out up a fence/divider around the porta potties. The ground was uneven and bumpy BAD. tripped 3 times trying to figure out where entrance/fare booth was. Wondered around while the brownie ladies watched us. The only greeting we got was from the folks selling windows. Went back to car and called them to see what in the world was going on. Phone answers at the same time one of the brownie ladies gets on the phone. I ask if they are the brownie booth. Yes. We go back there to stand behind another family and heard the quote of $9 per person. We left and went to east mtns for just a few more bucks and a TON more to do. It was an absolute cluster!!! Will not go back. Would...
Read moreWe went during the Apple Festival and had a lovely time! We took a hayride out to the apple orchards and picked a whole sack of apples for $5! (We definitely got our money's worth... I'm still using those apples to make pies, cobblers, steel cut oats and in lunches!). We also did the corn maze... they are so creative with their designs and they change each year... pirate themed last year, aliens this year. While they ship the pumpkins from their Estancia location, they do a really great job of setting up a nice pumpkin patch... lots of different sizes and shapes to choose from). The little cafe in the country store is always bustling and has some lovely food options including baked goods, green chile cheese burgers and really yummy teas, agua frescas and lemonade. This place makes my Autumn experience...
