7812 foot elevation trail with fantastic scenery. Trail has volcanic rock that is uneven. Remember your hiking boots and trekking poles. This is a trail to access in the warmer months. The roads to the trail are impassable in colder months. I saw deer and elk while hiking. This is part of bear country so bring appropriate supplies if camping or having a picnic. There were a few other people around accessing the trail but everyone respected my space. I felt safe on the trail because there was a camp host. It is also located next to a church camp. A $5.00 access fee for utilizing this outdoor space. Touch some grass and be safe....
