7812 foot elevation trail with fantastic scenery. Trail has volcanic rock that is uneven. Remember your hiking boots and trekking poles. This is a trail to access in the warmer months. The roads to the trail are impassable in colder months. I saw deer and elk while hiking. This is part of bear country so bring appropriate supplies if camping or having a picnic. There were a few other people around accessing the trail but everyone respected my space. I felt safe on the trail because there was a camp host. It is also located next to a church camp. A $5.00 access fee for utilizing this outdoor space. Touch some grass and be safe. Happy travels.

Best view of Sedona and Cottonwood. Secluded little trail from a nearby parking lot to an expansive view that overlooks the Verde Valley. Worth the 45 min drive up from Cottonwood. One of the best views

Make sure you've got water and the correct gear. Trail has not been maintained in a long time. Overgrown, trees down, boulders on the trail. Still, the views are amazing! 4.5 miles total.
