The entrance to park and pay is actually across the street from the main strawberry farm for picking. There is a smaller farm located just behind the entrance closer to main property to which I was not advised. My reason for the 2 star rating is because I had my 84year old mother with me and she had her cane when we went to pay. I asked the cashier where was the strawberry farm located and she said across the street. I asked if we need to drive there and she said it was a short walk across the street. She did not inform us that there was a smaller farm located closer (behind main) walking distance which would have been better for my mom. We literally had to walk up two roadways pass the horses and then walk across a 2 sided highway in order to get to the strawberry field. We had to walk up another roadway to get to the bulk of the field. This was a bit much to expect a 84year old person to do and my mom was excited about the idea of picking strawberries that I think that is what gave her the strength to keep walking. We kept having to stop and rest a bit and proceeded to walk till we got to the bulk of the field. If I had to guess the distance I would say it was 1/4 to 1/2 a mile from the main parking. While we were picking customers drove into the entrance of the field and parked then proceeded to pick strawberries. I was never told that this was an option which was upsetting to me to have my mom endure the walk when it could've been avoided. I walked back to get my car and drove back to the fields to get my Mom. As for the strawberries, they were less than adequate in taste and were very slim pickings. The field was not kept, the pathways to the rows were weeded up and very unleveled and hard to walk thru. I was disappointed with the whole experience and would not return. I plan to visit other strawberry farms to see...

We have been going to Mitcham farms from the day they opened. We have had birthdays here, been a vendor at festivals, and spent a lot of money here. But the egg drop was horrible. 1. It was a huge safety issue. 2. Not communication 3. Lack of staff. 4. Bathroom cleanliness was horrible. So my kids are completely traumatized. They were pushed and trampled by adults. My husband that was standing of the field so the kids had a stationary person to go back to was hit in the head with eggs. They should ahve aborted as soon as the field was flooded with people. There should have been staff on the field for crowd control. If there had been a parent holding a baby on the outside of the field and they dropped eggs from that high on that baby it could ahve killed it. This was a disgrace. My daughter that is my tough kids was hiding in her daddy's arms from the people trampling everyone and the adult diving for eggs. I left with kids crying, scared and only got about 10-15 eggs for 5 kids. And that was because they dropped them on their heads. This should have been aborted and staff sent in to control the crowd. The kids were sucked un by the crowd and so many were crying on the way out, you would have never known if one was being kidnapped. I want my money back. We will never be back...

Amazing experience! It was great to get away for a social distant friendly getaway to the farms! Our family went at 10am right when they opened (9am) on a Monday so it was super quiet and the fields were packed with blueberries and black berries!

Payment: It’s a super easy process. You pick a fruit basket and fill it up. You pay after you pick to make sure you get a fair amount. We got the big grocery size blueberry basket for $8. Filled it up to the rim! Mixed with blueberries and blackberries.

Food: There is a restaurant inside but only open on busy days. But they still had fresh slushees and ice cream available on the weekdays! There is a fresh market inside as well! We stocked up on fresh mango salsa, jams and honey while we were there! Should’ve grabbed the corn!

How to dress: bring a hat, SPF, bug spray and closed toed shoes! If you’re allergic to bees then be aware they are there but super friendly!

Staff: Dakato was so friendly and helpful! He gave us insight on the year round farm activities, u-picking tips and the passport rewards!

Parking: free and ample!

Super family friendly environment! You could have your own little picnic and play with the animals!

We’ll be back for...

I think it's a okay farm for a day out, dont go with high expectations, There is much better ones out there than this one. The downfall is, there is not proper parking instructions when you arrive, this is wasting your 15 min at least. Then the path to the strawberry farms are not safer, if you going with 3 to 5yr old kids where they run away from you, they can easily fall in creeks or cracks on the pathway. We were there to pick strawberries, there were lot of weeds between the plants and seems the maintenance is not top class. We spent $52 for 3 baskets of strawberries. $10 for kids activities zone which is steep, not sure what activities they have but we didn't go for it since we are family of 5. There wasn't enough safety measures in place in my opinion. Entrance is free and parking is free as all other farms do the same. I don't think I will go back to this farm since there is much more better ones are there with free activities for kids, I wish I could have took pictures of those dangerous creeks and cracks on pathway but I didn't. They did had an nice place to sit down and have food by ordering, they had decent menu with reasonable pricing.

I was very disappointed in my experience here last Saturday. I brought my family here to pick blackberries, blueberries and peaches. We were given the wrong directions on how to get to the blackberries and blueberries. There were several other families just as confused as we were. We paid for buckets and could not even fill them. There were hardly any blackberries. We were only able to pick a handful. The grounds were unkept and the grass was at our knees making it difficult to find the fruit. Majority of the peaches were over ripe and the ones we were able to pick had worms in them when we got home to eat them. I am so disgusted and disappointed. This place should not be selling any fruit. I wasted a lot of money and had to throw everything away.
