Prisoners Lake — Attraction in Covington

Went fishing there yesterday during the rain and hail with my daughter. Rode out the storm and caught 2 catfish within 10 minutes apart. Also my daughter caught her first fish of her life there. A bluegill she named Gill. We made friends with a guy and his daughter who also rode out the storm. Very friendly people. We shared Bates and lures and even poles with each other. Part of the Fins (Fishing in Neighborhoods) program by KDFW lake is well stocked and usually catch fish every time. I mainly bass fish and trout fish but I have caught bass bluegill and catfish. I personally have never caught crappie here but have seen people do it. Perfect little neighborhood pond to take the kids to. I use artificial baits and worms mainly.
