Pros: Beautiful cemetery-This is a wonderful place to be buried and also to visit loved ones. The ceremony was lovely, and very professional. The Veterans of Foreign Wars members there were respectful & courteous. Cons: For the first half of the burial, a mower could be heard fairly close to us. This was both distracting and disappointing. It definitely takes away from the awe and wonder of watching our flag being folded over a fallen service member, when you are listen to landscaping crews nearby. Following the procession down to the gravesite wasn't much better, as landscapers were there as well. Being ten yards away from a truck and crew while graveside is not the best way to say goodby to your loved one. While I understand that work must be done, during a service is not a great experience. It defeated the purpose of having a beautiful ceremony, to not even enjoy the moment to say goodbye to a loved one.

Please, don't plan burial services during the same time and place as landscaping...

With all that is going on in our world today, having my father laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery with full honors really helped me deal with his passing. I have never been more proud of my father than I was today as the honor guard taught us how to show the proper respect he and all military have earned in blood. The folks at Tahoma truly care about the dignity and honor in laying one of their own to rest and so richly deserve for our fallen heroes. I wish the world could have seen how we honor our service men and women who served selflessly for our country. It is a positive message the world needs to understand and the reverence internally the military takes so seriously. Ensign Lowell Thomas Mercier taught his kids the value the Navy taught him of honor and integrity in how we conduct our lives and to respect the gift our military gives us every day.

Rest in peace Ensign Lowell Thomas Mercier USS Laws (DD-558) and may your service be rewarded in Heaven! We...

Every time me and my siblings go to visit my dad. We find out my dadβ€˜s flowers are missing with his stands. so I bought a metal flower holder and yeah, it still goes missing. I found my dadβ€˜s flower stand plastic one on another personβ€˜s gravesite with the flowers that I bought, because the flowers were fake. I took it up to the office and they said that they cannot do nothing about it because nobody’s there 24 seven one of their staff members told me to reach into the trash to get the green flower holder and put it on my dad’s gravesite he must be out of his mind he can reach in the garbage and put in on his love ones gravesite. So now we have to buy another flower holder and customize it with my dad’s name on it so no one steals it or take it off or even throw it in the tras. The lady in the office was nice and helpful but the man who said go in the trash he was disrespectful. This place is beautiful and some. So...

What a beautiful cemetery. We have several family members buried here. We found out from ancestry our first family member was here, and then had 2 more members after. They always maintain the property so it always looks clean and kept up. My father in law was buried here, and the veterans did an amazing and beautiful ceremony here. They arranged everything for us and it was beyond what was expected . A little white butterfly flew by our family when one of the vets was reading a lovely poem. They did a great presentation of the flag to his son and helped choose what the plot said. Thank you for your services and I am very grateful for the care you took with our family.

We went on Memorial Day to put flowers at relatives' graves. We expected it to be crowded, and it was. However, it was extremely well organized. They had volunteers, starting before you entered the cemetery, and at several key areas throughout. Everyone was patient, respectful and things moved along smoothly. My sincere thanks to all of those who helped make it so.

Incredible cemetery for the people who have served our country and respectful place to honor our loved ones. Beautiful and well maintained grounds. They put up thousands of flags on Veterans Day and Memorial Day. It is very humbling to just walk through. We saw deer come out at dusk and eat the flowers at the sites on several occasions.
