Great local pet friendly park! My wife and I go here to walk our dog on the mile track around the park. It is a VERY clean park with trash cans and dog waste bags available throughout. The pool is fantastic to attend during the summer, and they have discount rates for local Cranberry residents. The disc golf course is also fantastic! I will warn though it is definitely a hike so be sure to bring our good shoes. There are places within the course that don't get much sun and so can be soggy/muddy. Other players are very friendly. There is parking on both sides of the park which we like to change it up some times. The pavilions are very well kept and clean. There are signs that there is free Wi-Fi but I haven't tried myself. Other patrons are typically nice, friendly and not loud or obnoxious, keeping the park quiet and pleasant to attend. The only thing that is a negative is the patrons who leave trash, messes, don't clean up after their pets, and no respect for our community shared space. Will...
Read moreI have been to this park ever since I was little. North Boundary Park is certainly a community park like none other! Time and time again, it is always a splendid experience. I still remember the days when I would be crawling on the former Safari Sams Playground during the 2000s, when I still attended preschool and elementary school. The name “Safari Sams” comes from a former family entertainment center with the same name that operated at the business plaza just beside the outskirts of Rowan Road. Unfortunately, the fun center had closed permanently sometime in 2010.
Since the late 2010s, the original playground in honor of the former Safari Sams business has now been replaced with the Crocodile Cove, which includes playing infrastructure that is more evenly spaced out compared to its predecessor and also does not include a mulch surface like that of its...
Read moreIt looks a bit flat in some of the pictures available, and when I go back I'll take a couple photos - but overall it's a great park with lots of soccer fields. They have a disc golf set up as well, a pool (currently closed due to the virus), a covered pavilion (for gatherings), a short but really good walking trail with some benches on the way when you'd like to rest for a short break.
Only comment I have is that the park is generally open, so in the afternoon the sun gets a bit hot as the trees are farther away from the main trail that wraps around the whole park.
We biked on this trail, and it's an overall good experience. My husband is a beginner biking so there were a couple big uphill points where he had to walk it up a bit (but western pa is mostly mountains anyway) - it's...
