William Miller Sperry Observatory — Attraction in Cranford

Almost 30 years ago as an UCC student I took an astronomy class just so I could see Saturn at the end of semester. Now I've taken my 2 kids and wife to see Saturn on both telescopes in a completely free admission and unlimited viewing time with the guide of magnificent people as much knowledge as nice giving us a tour of the observatory that simply was nothing less than amazing!! What a disappointment.

I signed up for the lecture on 12/20. Drove 30 minutes. Doors were locked. No signage indicating venue had been changed; It wasn’t until I’d spoken with another would-be goer, that I’d been notified that the venue had been changed. Drove another 30 minutes home. Found an email, and embedded within it was the location of the new venue.

We went there once at Friday night and we were really impressed! If you love stars and space you would enjoy this place too. They give little lecture first then you can go up to telescope and look at some objects in the sky. It was amazing experience! You can actually see Saturn on one of my pictures as we’ve seen it...
