What part of Whitney Houston‘s family does not want her grave visited or disturbed do people not understand? Because you’re a fan you really think you’re more significant than her late mother‘s wishes that her daughter’s remains be undisturbed? It’s a shame some of these reviews. It’s also a shame because people don’t realize that the cemetery is stunningly beautiful. It’s an accredited Arboretum and you should be going there to take a look at the rolling Hills and the beautiful trees if not to visit a family member or the final resting place of someone you actually knew. I’m a big Whitney Houston fan and I have family buried in the cemetery, but I have never once looked for her grave because Fairview makes it very clear that the Houston family does not want people trampling on The Houston family’s gravesite. Show some respect. Let the woman and her family have their dignity. On a sidenote, Rick and Carol are doing an outstanding job running the cemetery. Everything I have needed for my family plot has been done very...
Read moreOn Mother's Day, I visited my mother's grave as I have done since she died 20 years ago. I was shocked at the condition of the gravesite and all others located in the same row with hers. Virtually all planted vegetation separating the gravestones had died and only the bare sticks of blasted plants remained. I have been concerned about the failure of Fairview to maintain this section before but it has never been this bad. While still in the cemetery, I called the office and left two messages. It is now Monday night and no one has called back. That compounds negligence with stark rudeness. Management has my number and I deserve a call back. After 50 years as a writer for The Star-Ledger, I now publish a blog called "Bob Braun's Ledger" and I will write about this unacceptable incident in the next day or so if I receive no assurances the matter will be resolved, not just for me, but for all of the families in that section of the cemetery. Bob Braun,...
Read moreI went to the Cemetery today to pay tribute to the List Family and Whitney Houston. I had no idea at the request of her family her gravesite was a restricted area. One of the Maintenance Men at the Cemetery had my car surrounded and were being very aggrrssive with me. It was a scary situation and absolutely unnecessary. I have been to many celebrity gravesite's and never encountered such idiotic behaviour. People loved Whitney Houston and only want to pay their respects. Hopefully her family will change their minds and allow people to visit her gravesite. I gebuinely don't ever want to go back. The experience there was horrible and not worth being treated like a common criminal. I lost my Son 8 days before his 26th Birthday and would never dream of disrepecting anyone's...
