First I'll say, this entire area of forest is breataking.

But I'm not quite certain this pin/location/description is quite accurate. You'll want to drive down Cal-Barrel road a little bit and you'll see some cars parked. I stopped and parked there and walked the road from there with my dog. That said, it's still a road and two cars drove by as I was there so be mindful with your dog etc.

I still was happy to come here as many if not all the other trails specifically state no dogs allowed whereas this may be a bit of a grey area. In any case, I'd highly recommend and if you don't have a dog, pull over anywhere along the main road where there's parking as it's all...

Took our dog here for a walk while we were staying locally, since dogs are not allowed on Redwood forest trails. I was surprised at how lush and beautiful the forest was, and still plenty of redwoods to see. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for a dog friendly trail. Incline is mild for the first few minutes then becomes...

Great hike among the redwoods with a dog. Several of the trails through Prairie Creek Park criss-cross the road. The hike out is uphill and took us about 70 or 80 minutes, but was half that time to return. We probably saw 10 to 15 cars over about 2 hours. The dirt road keeps car...

Very nice dog hike, beautiful views and peaceful nature. Our 4mo pup enjoyed it. The whole hike took 2h with stops for water and sniffs (like a proper Bark Ranger).
