My kids were very excited to see this WWII radar station. They found the history interesting (radar station disguised as farm buildings) and enjoyed walking around the buildings. You need to park in the small pulloff and walk down the small hill to the buildings. Google maps will take you right to the spot. It won't take more than 10 to 15 minutes if you take your time. I'm glad...

It was an eerie day as we made our way up the coast and a wonderful volunteer a Redwood State Park told us about these WWII radar stations. Other than a plaque at the top of the hill however, there isn't much info there. Would be great if they had pictures on the outer walls of the buildings showing what it used to look like inside with the operators on...

Great hidden gem and history about the former site of WWII radar that detects Japanese invasions. No parking lot but there is a shoulder for parking. From the side of the road it is about 5 min walk to the actual site below (can not get inside the rooms). Good place to visit if you are interested in this kind of history.

It's nice that the remaining structures are still accessible for the public to view. I just wish there was a little more info posted about what was going on here when it was still in operation. Beautiful drive to get there, though!
