This is one of the best free activity to do in our area! We ate lunch at the picnic area and then walked to the lemon house. ( I really enjoyed the stone cutting demonstration, it was so neat!) They added some new displays in the visitor center. So fun for my kiddos and me😊 I only wish there was more interaction from the ranger in the visitor center, I felt an uncomfortable glare the entire time, but who knows maybe it wasn't a good day. Looking forward to going again!

Such a great place to go for a little hike with the kiddos! Wonderful historical learning experience & so gorgeous! Our kids ask to go almost every weekend! Great visitor center & service. Just all around one of our favorite places! Can’t wait for the house itself to open back up!! I recommend watching the video at the visitor center. Very informative with lots of historic facts about the railroad.

The Lemon House is a very nice historical home. While visiting in Altoona this was a stop on the way home and I'm glad we made it. There was a railroad in front of the home long ago. The inside of the home is beautiful and very unique. The caretakers did a great job keeping the history presented inside the home.

Lots of trails. I walk my dog there. It has a big parking lot and picnic tables under cover, grills, men and women bathrooms. Going in the lemon house is a very cool experience to see what it looked like inside back then. It's free fun place to hike picnic or learn history. Walking from the picnic area to the lemon house is about 1mile on...
